This is getting old in a hurry...

As I posted before, 650 miles on truck and a pebble punctures a tire.
Now, 2900 miles and a screw punctures another tire AND I just noticed a pinhead sized stone chip in the windshield. I feel like the Addams family with the black cloud that hovers overhead constantly. I could maybe understand if I lived or worked on a farm or frequented construction sites etc. This truck hasn't even been offroad yet and we drive our '95 Lumina everywhere this truck has been. Naturally, the Lumina is unscathed. This bites.

True but just for humors sake,
I had a great uncle and every time he would get a new car, he would take a hammer out and ding it somewhere. His reasoning was that, he got the first blemish out of the way immediately and anything that happened after that did not hurt so much. Of course, back then, it took a hammer to put a minor ding in such an automobile. They sure don't build 'em like they used to.

My old Tundra that I traded for the Titan had almost the same problem. The day I drove home from the dealer, I had a flat. 2 weeks later I got a sidewall puncture that resulted in replacement of the tire. Then came along the TSB problems with the brakes, the dealer giving me all kinds of problems everytime I went into get some kind of service (oil drain plug put in ****eyed causing slow oil leak for example). You know though, the tire problems aren't a result of anything Nissan did, just what happens to be on the road. one car can drive by and no problem, but the next one (or more) can hit the 'golden' nail/screw/whatever and boom out comes the jack LOL

Oh, I know that it is not Nissan's fault. I just seem to be cursed with bad luck with this truck. Anybody have a spare rabbit's foot or something?

When I drove off the lot with the Titan, I had the ominus feeling that someone was going to run in to me, 15 days later, I was rearended, while setting at a red light, by a lady on a cell phone doing 40 mph. Got that out of the way. Now I don't have that feeling any more.

I've have been in so many near wrecks with people on their cell phones. Used to be that it was mainly women with a mascara pen on their eye not paying attention. I've gotten into the habit if I see someone driving and talking on their cell phone is to drive up next to them, take out my cell phone, open it and then hold it up and show them "this is how you hang up and drive". Pisses alot of people off, but heck they need to do one or the other or they'll end up under the rear end of my truck wondering why, throwing a fit that it was MY fault...blah blah blah.

Close call

In the left turn lane, light turns green, roll out and this dude runs the light and misses me by 2 inches(not exsag.)!!! I would be in jail right now if I pursued him! Just let it go and thanked my guardian angel.

Mutt,
I also had a flat at about 700 miles, ruined the tire. Goodyear dealer couldn't initially find the hole, probed the bubble spot and pronounced it a road hazard nail puncture. I've driven over 80K miles same route with Chevy OEM tires and and never had a single tire failure. Maybe someone should start a thread on the Goodyear Stranglers. I think they're just a very weak/soft tire.
GOOD LUCK in the future!!

14 days after taking possession of the truck, I took a large rock from a dump truck, shattering the front grille. It probably would have made it through the windshield, so I guess I'm lucky. Oh well, now I have a good reason to replace that POS grille!!!!!
