Okay, decided to give the new Titan its first bath yesterday. Never in my life have I been so an*l about cleaning a car. Spent hours on it... On my wife's car and my old one, it would usually take about 45 minutes
Okay, I had the windshield wipers lifted up so I could clean the window. Afterwards, I was walking around the car looing for spots I had missed with the chamios and noticed the chrome RIGHT under the hood was spotty. So I popped the hood and proceeded to lift it. Felt and heard this weird sound. I quickly lowered the hood and saw that I had NEVER LOWERED THE WIDESHIELD wipers back down. Took the paint off the edge of the hood. It is only about 1 inch long and unless I show you were to look you won't see it. But I know it is THERE!!!! And since I live in Florida, I'm worried about rust.
Are there any good options out there to fix this? Should I even worry about it? Years ago I tried some touch up paint on a hood for my chip marks. Afterwards I wished I would have just left them alone. Looked like crap! So I'm hoping someone has some good ideas!!!!
Thanks in advance!
Michael
