Permanent Brake TSB

The TSB came out today and it includes caliper replacement amongst other things. Service advisor told me he already ordered the parts for my Titan

Would you provide a link to this new brake TSB so I can bring it to my dealer? Thanks.

I am not sure of a link yet. My service advisor just told me about it an hour ago. I will get the rest of the details when I pick up my truck later today.

The TSB# is NTB04-066A. Correction: It dose not replace the calipers.

It replaces the sliding pin, brake pads, rotor and the torque member. JetTech was on to something about the torque specs.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

It is basically instructions from Nissan to dealers which (1) acknowledge a problem and (2) contain instructions for fixing the problem.

You can see the TSBs for the Titan here:

Does anyone have the direct link to the TSB like the radio one. I might try to get some new rotors when my truck is having the radio changed.

The front brake pads are not replaced automatically just because there is a TSB. The service technician has to find the rotors so warped they can't be turned.

HUH? if I remember correctly, by the wording of the original TSB, if the service department experiences the brake judder, the pads are to be replaced (apart from the special lube....)

I told my service advisor today (when dropping off to get the radio replaced) that there is a kit coming out next month from Nissan to resolve the brake shudder. I'm at 1700 miles and already getting it. He told me that it is a heat issue with the pads and he's gonna put my name on the list to get this fixed once they get the parts.

Question...
I have 8,000 miles on my Titan and have had no brake problems.
Am I in the clear, or can the warped rotors occur after this point too?

I have done some PRETTY hard braking, so I'm sure if that was going to cuase it, it would have already happened. Did any one experience the brake problem with higher miles?
