New guy from BR, LA

First off can a mod please change my name to slowLS1z28 since I somehow messed that up!

Other than that, I just recently bought a 04 SE CC titan and absoloutly LOVE it. I looked at many trucks and none compared to the Titan in condition, performance, and driveability around the same year and miles (165K). I think my manifolds may be cracked after reading up a little and wasn't wanting to really mod the truck since I have my 92 LS1 camaro as a toy and dont NEED another toy but after finding out replacing the stock ones is more expensive its kinda a no brainer. Also I have been thinking about a tuner mainly for getting rid of WOT control and MPG/towing. From what I have read and found its looking like my only options are SC and uprev. Now I was looking into the Stillen headers since they come with the Emulator to trick it into thinking it has converters still. Is it worth it to go cheaper on headers and get uprev to tune out the CEL or will the Emulator from stillen take care of it with the SC programer?

Sorry for the long post guys, just didnt want to take multiple threads. Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks, Nick.

Welcome and congrats! Fyi: if you're a 4x4 the only tuner that can disable WOT on our 04's is Uprev, which I'm impatiently waiting on my maps from Uprev. I know from experience. I had a Superchips Cortex and it would not let me disable WOT. So I sold it and got Uprev. IMO, get Uprev from the start. However, if you're 4x2 then I believe Superchips Cortex can do it.

Enjoy!

PM "administrator" to change your screen name. Welcome to TT!

Uprev and stillens is a great combo. If you liked how quick the truck is stock, get ready for a big surprise

Re: New guy from BR, LA

Welcome to the most informative Titan forum. A lot of information can be found on here. The 04 will require uprev tuning post header install to correct the afr's. No way around that unless your a 05+ with flexfuel. Headers /uprev are still cheaper than pos oem manifolds. Your truck will be a different beast.

Re: New guy from BR, LA

Thanks for the welcome guys! The truck is a 2WD white with a custom B pipe setup and factory air box mod. Its pretty impressive for what's done to it for sure. And I've got a 10 second car so that says something! I just hate the WOT control more than anything, pulling into traffic sucks! Lol.

Re: New guy from BR, LA

I'm also new to the sight being I bought mine on 5-25. I looked at all of the other forums and this one had the most. Really, most of the people are the same on the other forums but this has the best topics. Anyway I did a lot of research before I bought so if you need anything feel free to pm me. I'm also in Lafayette.
