Nope, my sticker does not show the tow capacity either (only the GVWR which is not tow capacity).

The tow capacity and CGVWR numbers are on page 9-23 of the owner's manual. That should prove your case without reinventing the wheel....good luck!

I have numbers where I should have letters and letters where I should have numbers. I didn't think anything of the sticker on the door until the whole overload thing came about over the weekend. All I am saying is that you should check the information on your door sticker and make sure that it reflects the correct information for your truck and while you are at it you may want to verify your VIN# because according to their computer, my truck was a KC XE base model. You can either use this information or not use this information, either way really doesn't matter to me. My problem is being resolved.
Looks like something else to check..

KC XE tow rating 6500#'s.

Look like the dealer owes you another 3000#'s.

the towing capacity of any Titan XE models is 6500lbs. and the big tow package is NOT a factory option (only SE & LE models) , so if the dealer just install an aftermarket tow hitch your truck is still rated @ 6500lbs towing capacity

sorry to give you bad news, but if you have Titan XE you have wrong truck for the job and its towing capacity is only rated @ 6500 lbs and the big tow package is not even an option for this model

No, I do have the SE. And I do have every available option with the exception of 4WD, Entertainment package and Navigation Center. Somehow or another they got things extremely mixed up on my truck and another one that was ordered. The service center did check my truck over to verify that I did have the big tow pkg and all of the SE options, it was just a matter of correcting the "papertrail" on my truck. I am a female who hauls to rodeos and I don't know all about technical stuff. I told the dealership what I had to haul and they delivered me a truck that would do it, things just got "mixed up" somewhere and the good news if that it can be corrected, it just has to be noticed to be corrected.

Tracey, ask your serviceman to explain the difference between, GVWR, CGVWR and towing capacity. I looked at, at least a dozen Titans on the lot and none had towing capacity on the sticker on the door post. They had GVWR.

I have an XE OR w/o big tow, I installed a nissan factory hitch. The only difference my truck has with an LE w/big tow is extended mirrors, trans temp gauge, bigger battery, and vdc. The OR pkg comes w/the 3.36 gear and the offroad wheels not the cheapie ones. So the way I look at is my truck should have the same tow capacity as the LE. Am I right or should I trade it in for a new Dodge?

You cant tell me that ext mirrors, trans temp gauge, bigger battery and vdc give you a higher tow rating!!

Axle rating

In addition to the gross weights you cannot exceed the individual axle rating for each axle. On my sticker the front load rating is listed along with the total load rating. Subtract the front from the total to get the rear axle rating. It's possible to load the bed with a heavy load on or behind the axle, overloading the rear axle and still be at or below the 6,400 lb GVRW.

Same same with a trailer 950 lb tongue weight, some stuff in the bed and the rear axle is overloaded.

In Colorado they weigh each axle and the trailer too. Than they check each component for overload, including GVRW and the combined load rating. Whenever any trailer of truck component, coupler, hitch, ball mount or ball isn't rated for the load you get a ticket, they make you park the rig and correct the problem before you can proceed.
