Well I'm trying to make a decision looking for my first new car. I'm trying to decide exactly what I want to buy. I have started checking prices and feautures of cars and trucks and have narrowed the field down to four choices. The choices being and Altima 3.5SE, Honda Accord Coupe LX-V6, Nissan Titan SE KC, or wait for a Mustang GT. Being a young single guy which one would be the best for me? Just looking for some opnions from others out there.
Just a shot in the dark here, but given this is a Titan forum, I'll bet that's what most folks will recommend. If I were a young single guy looking at one of those cars, however, I'd have to pick the Mustang. Just be ready to wait longer than expected, unless you want to pay over MSRP on one, and don't be surprised if the quality is uh.....lacking.
Good luck with whatever you go with, I know I'd pick the Titan!
Ive got a titan and a 05 altima and both are fine vehicles. I prefer to drive the titan. but with fuel prices being what they are, i need to drive the altima.

What do you like better, truck or car? Do you want flash and performance with less quality, or slightly less performance with less flash, but good quality? These are questions only you can make, and a decision this big, I would not trust taking other peoples opinions. You are not comparing like vehicles here. The Titan of course is a truck, and in my opinion the best available! The Altima and Honda are both very well built cars, with good performing motors, that don't offer a lot of flash! The Mustang is a flat out flash performance car that is not quite as well built imho, and will not offer the ride or dependability of the other 2 cars mentioned.

Keep in mind, the Altima SE-R is coming out later this year/next year and I know that Altima's are already great cars and I can only imagine that the SE-R will be just as good if not better. Just wish I was able to get an Altima in addition to my Titan.
I personally wouldn't get a Mustang....I'd break it down to an Altima or Titan, which I know would already be a tough choice in itself. Had enough Honda's in the past, and I'll admit/agree, they're great cars and will last you a long time, but the Accord in my opinion is an ugly car with the new body style.
Good Luck

The interior on the Honda is a lot nicer than that of an Altima, but gawd what an ugly beast on the outside (double bagger imo). In my experience front drive cars are not especially suited to hard driving, i toasted the axles twice on my Prelude, not because of any inherent fault of the axles but because i happened to catch square edge potholes while accelerating hard at low speeds. If you dont need a big truck, dont get a Titan though... there's no point to paying the penalty at the pump... I hate to say it, but what about a Toyota Tacoma? - they're nice looking, bulletproof mechanically, and have decent albeit not amazing performance (unless you like to offroad in which case a 4x4 tacoma is fairly unsurpassed); with a Tacoma you'll also save approximately 25% at the pump. There's no point to using/paying for that much gas if you dont need it... I would actually steer you towards something rear wheel drive or awd if you want a car, they handle better (especially if it's a fast car - fwd torque steer sucks). If you can find a decent deal on on a Subaru Turbo Outback or 2.5 GT wagon you'll get great utility, speed, AWD (nothing like doing 80 miles an hour in the snow *big grin), reliability, great gas mileage, and a nice looking car (i couldnt find the model I wanted and I needed a vehicle YESTERDAY when I bought my Titan). Id even recommend a Forester (they're cheaper!) but they are a lil 'soccer momish' for a young guy.
well this has been very imformative so far. I would have thought everyone would have told me to just get the Titan. Instead I now have a number of things to look into. THanks alot guys.
I would pass on the LXV6.They just don't discount them enough for what you get.You can get a EXL V-6 for about $1500 more than the LX and you get a lot more stuff(side curtainABS,moonroof, leather ,fancy wheels etc).Honda dealers know that there are folks out there that want the V-6 but don't want to pay for the EXL,so they discount them a little, but not a lot.You can get a EXLV-6 for maybe $22000-$22500,but you'll only save about $1500 by getting the LXV6 despite at least $3000 difference in MSRP's.Honda just doesn't make many LXV6'S,so you don't save much and it is a harder resale.
The Accord is a nice, quick car,but not too exciting(not always a bad thing,if you are young). The EXLV6 will be a lot easier to sell, and will bring a better price on trade in.Luck,Charlie PS If you need,or really like trucks, the Titan is a great choice-lotta fun, good price!!
Hmm, that is a very interesting point on the LX vs. the EX V-6. As for the Earlier questions from BiXLL. Right now I have 1997 Toyota Camry LE and although its very, very reliable, there is absoulutley nothing exciting about any part of the car. I want a car, or truck with more excitment although I do enjoy my current levels of reliablity.
