Correct Tire Pressure?

Seems like some people have mentioned Tire PSI being too high, possibly causing braking vibration etc. Havent checked mine, but what are folks lowering it to?

The vibration during braking isn't caused by the PSI.

My tires are at the recommended 35PSI. I may boost them up a bit to 38 for now, but once winter comes Ill keep them at 35 again

Ok, cool. Thought I had seen people accuse the over-inflation for a number of maladies. I'm aware of the brake judder TSB, although of course I have one of those service areas, unlike some of you, who won't automatically perform the work recommended by the TSB, even if your VIN# qualifies as a candidate. They insist on 'replicating' the problem. Which in english means we aint doing s&%t!!!

Anyways, will check the PSI tonight. My guess is its well over 40!

I tow a trailer so I keep the pressure up on my tires. I usually keep the front at 38 and the rear at 40-42. Max pressure on the 18"s is 44 psi. I don't think the ride suffers too much (without the trailer) and it helps in milage by 1-2 mpg. I've never heard of tire pressure causing brake problems... that's new to me.

I believe the street pkg tires have a max pressure of 44 psi and the offroad pkg tires have a max pressure of 35 psi.
