Just started reading this forum tonight and so far it looks like an amazing resource with a number of great people contributing; I haven't experienced this since I was a member of yotatech when I had my '91 4Runner. After 4 "dark years" of car life I'm happy to be back into the 4x4 world after buying a 2012 Titan Crew SV SWB last night. Unfortunately I won't take ownership until next week as the dealer had to source an Ink Blue model from Southern Ontario.
Was a long hard decision, but the price, features and feel of the vehicle beat out a comparibly equipped F-150. I really wanted to like the Ford, but I knew the moment I sat in the Titan, it felt like I was home.
I already have the accessory/mod bug... and I am seeking advice from veteran Titan owners as to the "best bang for the buck" items I should consider getting.
The first thing on my list is Weather Tech floor mats.
The next item I am considering is a box topper or retractable tonneau cover.
One issue of concern for me is fuel economy. I know it's a truck but I am considering a few light mods to help with this if anyone has proven that it is in fact worth it. (CAI/Exhaust/Tune) I have read a few threads already and there seems to be a lot of conflicting information.
Anyways, sorry for the long first post (to anyone that read it all) and I hope I get to know you guys well over the time I own my Titan. I will be uploading pictures as soon as I can, hopefully as early as next Friday.
- Okeanos (Oceanus was taken and Okeanos is apparently another variation of it, thought it appropriate for a blue titan.)
welcome to tt. to be honest i wouldn't really worry about the mpg's just enjoy the truck, do want you want to it and make it your own. the best thing for mpg on our T's is your right foot. if you can control that you will improve your mpg's. good luck with that i know i can't lol. congrats on the new purchase.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. I know Bulludog has a MPG coach, but I am guessing that is the same as the instant fuel economy readout on the Titans cluster?
Just when I thought the truck researching was over, now I have to start researching accessories. Like an aftermarket fog light kit that fits in the OEM holes.

Really? I saw some Husky Liners today and they feel so much more flimsy then the Weather Techs I got for my step-moms rogue. I'm talking about the nice WTs, not the cheaper rubber ones.
Also...the HIDS you mentioned, thats for the fog lights I'm looking into?
