Bought a Titan SE 2WD Red Braun Popular Package manufactured 8/04. I have moved up. I was driving a 1990 Ford Ranger original owner I put 286,000 miles on that truck. I was taught to be frugal and drive the wheels off, get your moneys worth and then some. I do not think I could have put on that many mile except for the fact that I installed a bypass oil filter that would trap particles of less than 1 micron. I installed that filter after 1000 miles were put on the engine. With the lack of mounting space in the Titan under the hood I don't think I can install another one. If you are interested in what kind of oil filter it was check out www.wefilterit.com look for the Frantz oil filter. The old truck ran fine I just was tired of driving the same thing for 14 years. I know this seems like a long time and it is but for an engine it really is not that long, I have seen Ingersoll Rand large air compressor run for six months 24 hours a day, the same thing with extruder motor, blower motors in industrial plants so, I expect a well maintained piece of machinery to run a very long time continously. I have always maintained that automobile engines weakest link is the filtration system. Anyway enough about that I find my new a Titan a joy to drive and I will probably keep it for 10 years or more Lord willing.

No pictures yet I do not own a digital camera. I am driving from Cincinnati to Chicago this weekend looking forward to the drive, that is not a drive I normally look forward to, traffic on I 80-94 is always horrendous. I spent a few hours in the early evening yesterday reading the owners manual listening to tunes it was great just sitting in the thing. I plan to take my process engineering tools out and do some baseline measurements, like the air flow rate and temperature of the air conditioner, alternator charging data. We also have a very good import repair shop in Cincinnati I plan to have them check out the truck so I can determine performance changes over the years. I am going to check the differential oil before I leave for Chicago. The mod's I have planned, step rails (wife is 5' 4" tall) Rhino lining and maybe an ARE bed cover. Fog lights would be cool too, I wonder if I can get those installed with out much hassle. Everybody have a safe Labor Day weekend.

MDO
Welcome MDO and congrats on the new Titan. The OEM Foglights are about a 30 minute install even if you're slow like me!! Really easy. Best price (should be around $155) from Courtesy Nissan (Richardson, TX, online) or Performance Parts also online. See the "Part and Accessories" link this forum.
Enjoy the weekend, but for sure check tire pressure and diff oil level before leaving.
