Exhaust Leak - Normal?

While searching for the source of the ticking sound coming from the left side of the truck, I found that the exhaust system has a leak where the exhaust pipe coming from the left side of the engine connects to the wye. I noticed it because it was spitting some moisture from the bottom and making a very faint ticking sound. Is this normal? Why is this a slip connection, not flanged and gasketed like all of the others? I checked the clamp, and it is tight. Could this joint be moving under acceleration and causing the ticking sound? Anyone with exhaust system experience, it would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Exhaust systems should not leak. I'd take it to the dealer and make them fix it.

Nissan has come out with a replacement exhaust gasket for the Titan. Go to your dealership and they will replace it.

lcbrownz-

From previous threads, you mentioned you have the engine tick on the right side of the dash.

Did the new exhaust gaskets fix the noise?
