This is my first post and I wanted to make it a good one. I've been lurking around other, similar sites, hunting for information. Since I found this one I can truly say All of my questions about the Titan have been answered, via the great capability of the site, and the supportive user community.
Owning a car before the evolution of the internet was never this fun.
So without further ado, let me contribute my little story. I've been toying with buying a new truck, and have pretty much had it pegged on the Titan for several months. After a relocation, and settling down, I was ready to buy.
I did the test drive thing (I posted a detailed story of Avalanche shopping on another site - should I re-post it here?) and the Titan came out on top.
Problem is I couldn't find the one I wanted -- 4x4 LE Crew fully loaded sans Nav, in either Silver or Green with Sand/Steel. I've done the local dealer, "locate" trip before on other cars with mixed success and decided to find one myself.
After 4-5 hours (late at night) on Nissan's outstanding website, I found it. It was 800 miles away. I called the dealer (Advantage Nissan in Bremerton, WA), and after a few phone calls, agreed to terms. I decided to have it shipped to my city because I was too busy (read too lazy) to get it myself. Two, torturous weeks later it finally arrived -- today!
And here it is, one of the last of its kind --
2004 Nissan Titan 4x4 LE Crew Cab in Canteen Green with Sand/Steel
o Born: 07/04
o Power Glass Sliding Sunroof
o 4x4 Off-Road Package
o Side Air Bag Package
o Big Tow Package (w/4x4 Off-Road Pkg)
o Nissan DVD Mobile Theater System
o Splashguards
o Floor Mats
Congratulations! Very nice truck. Keep an eye on this forum for advice on how to keep it in tip top shape. And yes I've seen 1 Canteen Green Titan.

Nice Truck, Nice Color! I looked at several 'Canteens' but none were equipped like I wanted, so got a Deepwater. Still wish I'd done what you did, and searched a bit further.
Welcome and enjoy the forum.

Welcome! I also had to go out of state to find my Canteen XE/CC/4x2. It was worth the effort. The green ain't for everybody. We will be a rare breed indeed. No more green in '05. The truck is a total blast!

Welcome to the forum and congrats. I love that color, but they're hard to find equiped the way most want them. I wondeer howmany Canteen Titans were actually produced? I'm betting less than 20% of the first years production were Canteen, anybody know? I would have bought one if it were equiped the way I wanted. Oh well, I am very happy with my Silver!
There will be no more canteen on the 05 models? I read on nissan hale that the only exterior color change was the sedona. Discontinuing it and comign out with Red Alert?
very nice truck. i too have been lurking around the forums while trying to decide on whether to get a Titan within the next few months. the lease on my silverado will be up soon. i noticed in the description of your truck you said it was a LE, but in the photos it had the SE rims. might be something to look into?? good luck with your new truck.
I am looking into gettiing a titan within the next few months. I want an le red brawn or canteen with sand/steel interior. Havent made up my mind on the exact options. I know i want big tow, 4x4, mats, and sunroof (will have to get it installed in dealership) unless i get the dvd and side airbag as well. Anyone had a sunroof installed by there dealers, or does anyone have a titan like this? if so how much did you have to pay for it. i was quoted 29500 on a le cc 4x4 with no options in dallas, tx.
