SAT Display on RF Tip

I know there's been some discussion on displaying Artist/Title info on our RF displays. Sorry if this has been covered, but I didn't find anything on a search so I thought I'd pass this along....

To continuously display the Artist, Title, Station Name, etc., push the large round Tuner knob until you see "Display Mode". Once there, simply turn the knob to the desired option to have it continuously displayed. I have mine set on Artist. Still no scrolling of the name but it's better than just the station number. Also, I've noticed the number of characters is 14 while my coupe only had 10. Finding more reasons to be happy about my TITAN every day.

FWIW, I removed my Clarion OEM Sirius SAT receiver from my G35 coupe and purchased a new Terk mini antenna. All seems fine and I temporarily have the antenna mounted on the dash until I decide if I want to place it on the roof.

I've also posted this in the Visual/Audio/Interior Modifications board as well.

This works for CD-R as well (provided the information was burned along with the music)

What's funny is it will display:

MOTLEY CRU

But when it's switching songs it will say:

NO ARTIST INFORMATION

or somethig all the way across the display.

So I'd say that the trucation is in the Sat box, not the stereo.

Assuming you do have an XM or Sirius tuner installed, right? If so, what comes after "SSV Info"?

This thread relates to the display for using satellite radio and the options you have for continuously displaying Artist, Title, etc. Your stock RF head unit on the LE is satellite ready for either XM or Sirius. You have to add the satellite radio tuner, however.

I have an LE w/RF. Was thinking of adding Sat. I have one question:
Is the sound quality of sat. equal to the CD? ie. clarity, loudness ect.
Thanks!

I would say that the sound quality is just a notch below the level of a CD, but it is very nice nonetheless. Loudness is also very good in comparison to both FM and CD. I have no issues with the clarity of my Sirius. I have always been a CD listener in my vehicles, but I listen to my SAT almost exclusively now.
