Air Conditioning SUCKS!

My only real complaint about the Titan is that my A/C SUCKS! I've had the dealer check it a number of times. The parts mngr and service mngr both have Titans and their A/C sucks too.

During a hot day it just doesn't blow COLD air at all. It will get cool if you run the Max AC/Recirc function with all it's associated excees noise, but plain old AC is luke warm to coolish at best when it's 95F outside.

This is pathetic for a new 2004 car. There's not a car on their lot, new or used, nissan or not, that has AC that's as bad as the new Titans, and the Titan's were bad.

There is no excuse. Clearly the factory has an issue with their AC system. I see no valid reason at all for it not to blow COLD. EVERY other car does and CAN. Why can't a Titan?

I wouldn't be so bummed except for the fact that I live in FL and it's HOT in the middle of the day and I'm sick of sweating when I get in the car and my AC doesn't work for beans.

Anyone interested in an online petition to Nissan about Titan AC? ANyone know if there's going to be a TSB on the AC?

I live in Texas with days of 95-100 and my a/c will freeze you out. I usually run mya/c on the first fan setting after a few minutes if the truck has been setting out in the sun. I do run mine on max when really hot but on a low fan setting. I dont like to smell those fumes from the truck in front of me when not in recirc.

Sorry to hear that, but to be honest, mine works fine. But sitting still for long time, it will just blow "cold", not freezing. Once your moving, it'll run you out of there, girlfriend wants a jacket, etc. I barelly leave the temp full cold for long, and the fan on the lowest setting, but temps around here are only in the high 80's. And 20% window tint helps a lot. No complaints here.

A/C works great - wifey always has to adjust the temperature knob up because she "freezes to death". South Carolina heat and humidity has been rough this summer - average for July was 91 degrees...

AC on my Titan works great. Never have to turn it to max/high fan setting. Wife has to turn it down because it freezes her. Kids complain in the backseats that it is too cold.

My A/C works good too. Only complaint is that I don't feel too much of a difference between having it on Max A/C and regular A/C (w/ recirc button on)

Not typical at all. My Titan AC will freeze you out, either on Max or Normal, and that's even in the 100 deg Texas heat. Both Titans that I test drove also had cold-cold AC.. That was one of my criteria. Make the dealer fix the !@#$ thing!
Good Luck.

Hmmm, I live in NM and mine comes out pretty cold. I usually have it set at 2, anything more and it gets a little too cold.

I usually start it out similar to Tall Texan.

Well from the replies it seems like my AC is the problem. It never reaches that "freezes the wife out" level, not even close. I'm not sure what to do at this point as the dealer continues to tell me it's "within spec".

mine sucks too. I'm in VA and I have to have it on MAX just to feel cold air. Air temp has only been in thr upper 80's and my truck feels hot during the day.

I live in El Paso, Tx and can't leave it on 4 very long, usually work my way down to 2 or 1 otherwise it is too cold. We don't have the humidity here that you have in Florida but I wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference. Something has to be wrong with yours.

Cool

California desert and it works like a charm. Even when the temp on the mirror reads 105.

Mine won't run you out or anything, but I wouldn't classify it as a problem. I leave mine at "2" on the fan, fresh air intake, and 2 clicks up from full cold on normal AC. This is during the hottest days we had in NC. 100 plus on the temperatures, 100% humidity.
