Wires?

First off...I'm an idiot. I drove my Titan off the lot not knowing it was an XE. I guess I was just so excited I forgot to look at the small things....like the frickin' window sticker! Anyways, it's a Galaxy Black XE CC 4x4 with the off-road package. As soon as I drove it away I went searching for my power mirrors switch....which doesn't exist. Also, my visors just suck. It's unbelievable that Nissan would even manufacture such crappy visors. Nonetheless I'm happy with all the other options like the 6-disc changer.

So my real question is this. Can I upgrade my visors and mirrors? I'm really hoping there is a wire harness connection for the better visors and mirrors. Does anybody know this? I just called the dealer and they didn't know (yeah right, they told me to bring it in...bastards.)

Lmfmbo!!!!

(laughing my frickin' manboobs off)
You win the funniest post of the day, bruthuh! I'm sure you could probably work something out with your dealer to get the mirrors....may cost you a little, but I'm sure they can do it. What's wrong with the visors? I didn't know there was any diff between the XE and SE visors...maybe not? I have an SE CC, mine are fine.

No offense man, but WTF?!? You must be nominated for the "dumbass of the day" award...

Dumbass of the Day Award!

I have absolutely nothing constructive to add to this thread so go ahead and flame me if you must, but I had to reply, holy crap, I had to reply...

If you think your mirrors are good then you don't have the ones I have...trust me. I think their made out of some sort of recycled cardboard or perhaps it's paper mache. They are so crappy that they are like warped and if you grap them they bend in your hand. Also, they bounce up and down like semi-firm boobs when I'm on the freeway. As far as my mirrors go, I like the flat black ones I have now so I want to gut some SE mirrors and put the inerds in mine.

I know the XE does not have the prewiring for the fog light kit but I do not know about the mirrors. I would call Jamie at titanparts247.com (800-689-6560) and ask him. He is a Titantalk sponsor and active forum member who is always willing to help members with parts questions or special member pricing (if there is an XE mirror kit he will probably have the best price).

Well thank you for your nomination. I would be happy to nominate myself, but since you were kind enough to do it for me it saves me the trouble. Glad to meet you and hope to have many more tastefull and intellectual conversations with ya'. Goodbye kind friend.

I really don't mean you any offense. We like to have fun around here sometimes and try not to step on too many toes doing it. Sorry to hear about your apparent lack of awareness when excited, but in all seriousness congrats on the TITAN and welcome to site...

Oh, and good luck with your "mods"...

No problem. I can't fault anyone that wants to laugh at your mix-up of Titan styles. I usually just recall some of the stupid things I've done in my adult life and it puts me in a more sympathetic mood. Hopefully, you weren't negotiating the price using the SE invoice cost as your measuring stick. In the long run, I'll bet you will be very happy that you got the XE instead of the SE.

I don't know, you guys tell me. I think it was a pretty good deal. Don't get me wrong here, I love the truck and it is very nice. The only things it doesn't have that I can notice is the power mirrors and visors. I don't care about the "mission control" edition rear view mirror or rear AC or anything useless like radio controls on the wheel. I was aware that it wasn't top of the line when I bought it, but I just didn't realize everything at the time. I think I had just forgot about the whole XE, SE, and LE thing once I saw it. It is beautiful and I wanted this specific one because of the black grill and bumper (I like the body color match, no chrome for me. I'm painting my rear bumper this weekend, I'll post pics!). Anyways here's the deal.

4x4 Off-Road package, Crew cab, preferred package, floormats, mudguards, bed-liner:

$28,500

Does your offroad package have the E-locker?

Using Carsdirect.com pricing for a So Cal zip code and not applying any rebates:

Invoice price with E-locker = $28,392
Invoice price without E-locker = $28,087

XE sunvisors are CS beyond belief!!

Clash 4x4,right about the sunvisors, they are CS beyond belief;like something you would expect to find on a Yugo-no kidding rest of you SE LE guys-you ought to see them!.
A few of us are waiting on one of the members who is doing a LE to XE power mirror switch.He-and we- are all praying that the connection to the power mirrors will be wrapped up in the wiring harness. If Nissan did a real cheap out to save a few pennies on copper wire,we will have to do the wiring ourselves. It should be a very easy "bolt on" swap if the harness is there. The member is going to post his results as soon as he gets a chance.Jamie sold him the power mirrors and switch for about $300 delivered-good price, that stuff is pricy(did I miss spell his name, looks wrong?)
I have been meaning to take a good look at the SE,and LE visors to see if a swap will be easy or not.If you had bought a KC(I did-really cheaped out) it would be worse-no power locks,no power windows.Welcome to the forum,Charlie PS I once bought a "new" truck.I was so busy smiling at the blond salesperson(female) that I didn't notice the 5500 miles on the odo till I got home.-DUH!!
