It's the best one I have seen yet..Eclipse quality can't be touched that's why you can't buy it online... I plan on getting it in December. I have seen this baby in action all I can say is WHOA!

I can't seem to find anything on preout volts. I see the spec sheet says line out voltage .8volts. That don't seem right for such a high end deck.

Not when you consider the cost of the factory nav and the fact that this does much more.

The Eclipse is not Satellite Radio ready and that was important for me. I have the Kenwood DDX7015 with DV4100 (Nav unit). I paid $900 for the 7015 and $1000 for the 4100. I am happy with it so far. My website has some post installation photos.

Is the NAV voice guided? If so did you have to add anything to do so?

Hey Zpylot,

How does the Kenwood sound? I'm wondering because I see it only has 2volt preouts. Usually with that low of voltage causes severe distrotion.

i was worried about the same thing. i was leaning towards just getting an alpine cd/mp3 player and giving up dvd and screen because the alpine has 4volt preouts. lets face it....we listen to music alot more than we would watch movies in the truck and i dont want to compromise sound quality.
almost forgot to ask, did you install the system yourself and if so how hard was the install, did you get the wiring harness from cruthfield, and did it mount right in without any modifications?
let us all know how it sounds and what else your system consists of.
thanx

I think I decided on the Kenwood DDX7015 when I get one. I think the specs are just about right.. I can live with 2volt preouts only thing is with lower voltage preouts you have to be careful of electical interference. You can buy a device to up the voltage but can't remember what they call it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with either Eclipse speakers or Infinity Perfect 6.1 full range speakers. I'm going to Dynamat everything I can in doors when I do.
