Ok so about 3 weeks ago I got some new rims and tires from Craigslist. Input them on and they rubbed the brake caliper. I ended up buying some 1/4" spacers from the auto zone. So far they have been holding up fine I just am a little uneasy about them. Has anybody ran these and what is your experience with them. I just want to make sure they won't make my wheel fall off down the highway lol.
Ive read that some guys ground down their calipers to help them fit. How hard is that and would that be better than the spacers?
Thanks in advance as always y'all's input in much appreciated.
I've heard bad things about wheels "Spacers", I have no experience with them myself but if I had to run them I would retorque on a monthly basis and probably still be worried.
On the other hand have you considered wheel "Adapters" much safer alternative only thing is, is the minimum thickness you can run on a Titan without swapping lug studs is 1.25".
I run wheel adapters on my rear wheels and use to run them on all 4 and never a single issue, they are always still at the same torque as I left them whenever I rotate my tires or mess with any other part of the suspension requiring me to remove the wheels.

what size rims did u get? what year is your truck? why would u want to grind down a component that helps your truck STOP!? spacers as in little thin plates with lots of holes in em for universal fit...??....yeh,ever watched your wheel go flying down the road as youre driving? spacers have been known to detonate or shatter, thats why ppl are using adapters now and as SoCal has already stated the smallest size is gunna be a 1.25" adapter.
I tried them on my old Titan. They say you need at least 5-7 turns of the lug nut for it to be "secure." I barely got 3 turns. I took them off immediately.

Ya I've read different opinions on the spacers some say its ok some so don't do it. I check the lug nuts weekly and they all seem fine.

I've read that a lot of ppl trim down their caliper where it was rubbing. That's why I asked how good of an idea that is. And yes those are the spacers I had to get from autozone. And my wheels are 20". Not sure the width tires are 325/65r20
The only problem I would have with the wheel adapters is they my tires already rub.
The link I posted is for the thread on the Bora's just so you can see pics and all the good reviews as well as all the links i the 1st post, the link TURNandBurn posted is the actual site though and that's where I ordered mine, I did a lot of research before buying and Bora BulletProof has the best product for a great price.
If all you need to shave down on the caliper is 1/8" - 1/4" you should be fine, I've seen several guys even with 2012 Titans shave up to 1/4" with no problems, that being said I personally would not do it to my Titan.
