Funny *** Ford post...

This is cut and pasted from a f150 forum I was checking out today. I'm not a big fan of drag racing trucks, but I figured ya'll would get a kick out of it. This is the guys second post on the thread. Basically he is pissed off over his engine and is thinking Ford screwed him on the hp numbers.

I used a 5000lb figure with me in it. It's not exact, but I'm within a couple of hundred lbs. I just notice that Troyer's R&D vehicle was a 04 5.4 FX4 Lariat and when they put it on the Dyno its best pull was 217 HP at the rear wheels. That just so happens to be almost exactly what I got when I ran my calculations. All's I know is that this truck should be doing at least 15.5s. I had a 305 HP Nissan Titan kick the **** out of me the other day. There was no competition, he flat out pummeled me. I'm bummed out that Ford went through all the trouble making this truck awesome and lies about the motor. They have a history of doing this.

But on the flip side, I had a Lighning beat my Z28 by .5 sec in the 1/4. Those things are no joke when modded (granted he had a built motor and ported s/c)...he was pushing over 600hp.

No doubt the Ford trucks have been good hot rods over the years (love to have even the current lightning, and look out for the '05 beast!) , but the 5.4 Triton F150 that I test drove was very sluggish. I wish we had anywhere near the parts available that big 3 have, but I guess that will grow.
