2 issues...looking for advice - Page 2

downshift only....and only when it gets to about 25 mph....Everything else up and down is smooth.

I read through my manual some but don't see anything there. If you want I can e-mail you a copy of that section so you can read it yourself. But my suggestion is to let the dealer diagnose it, as it's not worth risking a $4000 transmission to avoid an $85 diagnostic charge.

Now one more manifold question. If they bad would I hear them immediately on starting the engine on a cold start. The muffling noise i am talking about hearing only happens for about 30 seconds on a cold start, but I don't hear it until i begin to accelerate down the road. Things sound good just idling. Thanks

Just wanted to say ,,,,,Check your transmission mount they are known to come apart. Could be the cause of Clunk!

oh man. Like i said I don't know a thing about engines. is there a good thread with pics that would be able to show me where I could find the transmission mount? My hobby is brewing beer so I can make a 10 gallon batch with the best of them, but I am lucky I even know how to check the oil level in my truck!

Transmission Mount Replacement ok i found one and still think i am not capable. Might have to get a pro to look at it...or a titantalk member in the central PA area that is into homebrews!?? takers???

You should hear it while the engine is cold then as the manifolds heats up it expands and seals off. I never hear mine while idling but as a got on the gas it was there for about 1/2 mile or so. Under a load towing it was there also. For the price I would go with headers instead of replacing stock manifolds. Performance will be greatly improved and cost will be about the same as one new oem manifold.
