Finally.....A Great Site for Titan Bike Mounts.....NOT!!
Check out the following site for some really nice bike mounts that integrate with the Utili-Track cleats. I'm about to order a system as soon as I figure out which one will work best for me. Click http://www.biketote.com/catalog/ and look at the links on the left for "Nissan Titan Bike Tote". I spoke to the owner on the phone and it sounds like a pretty good solution.

I just used some uni-strut channel nuts with some Yakima locking fork mounts. Works great and one would need a wrench and a lot of time (due to bad angle on the bolt) to remove the mount. Using the cleats seems to add adjustibility but might limit the security in some cases (like the single mount, which one might be able to turn 90 degrees with the bike attached to remove it).

Here are my mounts...
I also like their wheel fork which enables you to carry the front wheel on the mount instead of throwing it in the cab. I don't think using a system designed for our Utili-Track rails is considered overkill. It's actually a pretty nice system that gives us a proper way to carry our bikes. Nissan is even going to be using this exact system and will be charging much more.
Are you using the Yakima Blockhead or is that the Bedhead mount in your picture? I also have the Locking Bedhead that I would like to make use of on our rails. I completely agree with the security issue you mentioned regarding the cleats. But, there again, if someone wants your bike, they'll get it. There is absolutely no method for preventing that other than not leaving your bike unattended for an unreasonable amount of time. And, speaking of overkill, I even use a locking cable through the bike frame to the tie-down loop in the bottom corner of the bed. However, those are simply bolted down and also provide no security.

UPDATE....
I had to change the title of this thread after my experience with this product. After only having it a couple of weeks, I've decided this may not be the best system for a bike mount for our Titan. I paid $70 for the system. (It would have been $100 but he actually threw in the $30 wheel tote for free since I was going to give him a good review on this site) I've listed the problems I had below:
Since there are no instructions or parts list included, you have to figure out for yourself the best method to install it. Not really a problem until you discover it really only works one way and you have to undo the whole thing to get it to finally work right.
It rests too close to the bed rail cap leaving a good chance that it might scratch the cap.
Since you cannot install it on the cleat and then simply put it on and take it off the utili-track, it becomes cumbersome to have to loosen parts to accomplish that. This should work just as the cleat does without the mount on it.
The wheel tote would not work on my single bike mount system since the wheel hits the handlebars.
Shipping was slow and packaging was sub-par.
When explaining all this to the designer/owner of the company on the phone, he was very defensive and rude telling me to go ahead and send it back, he doesn't want my money. He also managed to mention how easy it is for him to use it. Well, he did design it so why shouldn't it be?
So, I hope I haven't given anyone false hopes about this product. Unfortunately, I jumped the gun on this one. This guy's got a long way to go with his cutomer service skills if he wants to keep and get new customers. Now let's see how long it takes to refund my credit card.

I'm a DIY guy and I think you can do all of that with supplies from home depot. A simple cut here and there and drill a hole, and bam! done...
Maybe i'm being to optimistic.... I personally haven't gone on a bike for such a long time and probably forgot how hard it must be to tie down a bike...
When i get a bike i'll build one...I promise

There is a bike mount that works great on courtesy's web site for $40.00 each and you just add a yakima Skewer locking or non locking to it and bang you are off. It bolts onto your tie down cleat in place of the rounded cleat. Click on the page to view. http://www.courtesyparts.com/titan/index.html

Geoff,
Where do you get the "uni-strut channel nuts" that you used to mount your fork mount?

Oh, I have that as well and got it a couple of months ago. It works perfectly fine. However, I came across this other system and thought it might be good because it also has a wheel tote that mounts with it, so I gave it a shot. Simply didn't meet my expectations, etc. Here are some pics.......
