One thing that I do for the love bugs on my previous vehicles...

I pull it inthe garage, and let the metal cool for about an hour. Then I spread bath-sised towels across the affected areas, covering the areas completely--as best you can. Run a house faucet to get some hot water in a bucket, and soak the towels. let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. repeat, repeat, repeat.... (Because the towels absorb much of the water, you can do this in the garage, if there's nothing nearby to soak up water--like cardboard) After about an hour, remove the towels, with a light wiping rub, and most all of the carcasses should be gone. For the crusty-crispies left over, I use Bluemagic road tar and bug gel. THe gel is nice because it doesn't evaporate quickly in high heat situations, and seems to be effective. (I think I got it at Kmart). Remember, if you use a tar&bug solution, you've got to re-wax your truck again... at least in that area.
