Door Locks

I have had my Titon XE CC since May. I have noticed on several occasions that the doors will lock on thier own. Some times I will leave the doors unlocked on purpose and they will stay unlocked all day, and then on other times, they will lock themselves while I am still standing there.

If you unlock your doors and do not open the door, it will relock itself after 30 sec. If you open/shut the door, it should stay unlocked.

The owners manual states that the doors will "relock within 1 minute" unless a door is opened or a key is in the ignition.

From my experience, I think it is muck closer to 1 minute than 30 seconds. I live in florida, and I have a leather seats. I have the luxury of parking my truck about 100 feet away from my desk at work, and when I go to lunch...weather providing... I use press and hold the keyfob to roll down the windows while I'm at my desk and just about ready to go. Because I do not walk a straight line though the concrete and glass wall, It takes me the best part of a minute to get there, and the door is usually unlocked (90% of the time). I think it is definitely longer than 30 seconds, but I have never timed it.

I was wondering what the purpose of the window roll down feature was.

It think it would be more practical to have then roll up.

the feature I dislike is only the driver's door opening when I press once instead of both unlatching - a wife who just broke a nail pulling on a locked door she expected open made this an unhappy feature for me.

sorry about your wife's finger. i don't know of a car that opens all the doors with one push of the button. it's a security feature, incase someone hiding on the other side of the car, waiting to pounce.

'02 Tundra opened both with a single click
(but it also gave no warning if you left it with headlights on)
