Buying a Titan: Gear ratios, towing, & radio ???'s

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to purchase a 2012 Nissan Titan SV. There are two to choose from and the main difference is the SV Premium Utility Package. In that package is the gear ratio changing and adding the Rockford Fosgate premium sound.

My questions are:

1. I will be doing some towing during the first year of owning the truck, not much beyond that...What gear ratio do I want (2.94 or 3.35) for towing and reliability?

2. Is the Rockford Fosgate system much better than the stock 6-speaker sound system?

3. Is a discounted price of $29,690 before tax a decent price for a crew cab SV with two option packages on it?

1. Depends on the weight you are planning on towing 2.96 gears max is 7200#, 3.36 is 9200#, reliability is the same.
2. Yes
3. 4wd or 2wd, that is about what I paid for mine after discounts, sticker was 35K, If it's 4wd then that's about right, 2wd might be a little high.

Get the tow gears. Every week someone comes on here wanting to change to tow gears or wanting to know if they can tow something they never thought they would need to. If you have the tow gears and never need them it's a lot better than needing them and not having them.
