They may have repainted the fender if it git dented or they misjudged a corner or something, and that would not show on carfax. Sure fire ways to tell if your fender has been replaced or repainted.

1) Check the VIN sticker (if present on these vehicles), if it is on the fender (usually under the hood) then the fender is OEM, if it is not present then you may have an afermarket fender.

2) Check for overspray, look everywhere on all trim pieces, I know some body ships are great but ALL leave overspray.

3) Go talk to the dealerships bodyshop, and find out what happend, the will know if the truck was there, just say you are looking for information on vehicle VIN # XYZ

The only reason I say this is because when my friend bought his car used, the rear bumper had been repainted, and the dealer said that they did it because it was damaged on the lot. Well its a good thing he got documentation from the dealer saying that their body shop repainted it because if something ever happened with the paint (chipping, flaking) on the rear bumper the car manufacturer will not cover it (they dont cover repaired paint) and he would have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed.

All Im saying is get documentation (if any) saying that is was repainted incase 2 years from now that fender looks like garbage, because they repainted it at the dealer. IF you dont get the docs the dealer will say they didnt do it and Nissan will tell you that it is not OEM paint and will not warranty it.

Good Luck!
Rob

Did all that. Everything is factory yet. So I am not too worried about it.

They do some wierd things at the assembly plant guys haha, when I was at the dealership the other day getting my titan its first detail I was walking around the lot and they had a titan on there lot with "1" mile, still with the plastic on the seats (just like mine) and the freaking shift knob was spun the wrong direction. I was looking at it saying to myself that "somethings wrong with this picture" once I figured it out I spun it the right way for a future titan owner hahahahaha

I work for a manufacturing facility and do understand that things can and do happen when humans are involved in the assembly process.
