I would bet that the VDC is reset by the BCM...so it would probably take a reprogramming of the computer...

There is a VDC memory module that I found for someone on here before....let me try to find the thread...

MyDog if you're reading this...did you install it? How does it work?

Edit:

It costs $40 for the VDC and $60 for the window roll-up with the keyfob feature.

Has anyone ordered/installed the window up modual?

I've got to get this ASAP! Just figured out you could roll them down the other day, I find it useless if you cannot roll them back up...

Sure thing! The windows up module will also lock your doors 6 seconds after the trucks started.

VDC off module

Hooray!! No more VDC boys!! Install took about 15 minutes, no cutting! just used 3 blue wire taps. I just saw your post for pics TriKKy....there is really nothing to see. One wire for fulltime ground (black) coming off VDC button...One wire that is ground when the button is pushed (red w/white stripe coming off of VDC switch. The final wire from VDC module 12+ (ignition only) I hooked to my cigarette lighter.

I did place a towel over my console just to be safe because the metal clips on the side of the radio and AC skin would chew something up in a hurry. My radio dash came off without any tools and I didnt even have to discon. anything. I really didnt want to hook the 12 volt wire up to the cig. lighter but dang Nissan did a good job routing and hiding their wires. I just placed the module behind the VDC and TOW switch....I may be getting back in there to put some bubble wrap on it in case it starts rattling.

Now every time I start it "VDC off" shows up on the dash.....no more "Good gracious captain we just slipped a tire!!!!........Quick Scotty! kill ignition and fuel!!!

Very very cool. Glad I could help out.

Have you considered getting the window up module?

Windows up module?

To be honest TriKKy I have not. I have been eyeing their autolock module though. I think it said on their website the doors are locked 6 seconds after the vehicle starts. Im just worried at some point I would start my rig jump out for some reason and be stranded. If there was a way to hook it up off a pulse when the gear shifter was placed in drive I would be on it.

Thanks again for the helpTriKKy!

I can get a photo of the VDC install if anyone needs it. This install was very simple and it was the first time I have been into my dash. The only tool I used was a pair of needle nose and this was for crimping the wire taps. 15 minutes tops!
