Biltein 5100's or Airaid MXP Intake?

I am just about to 10k miles on my 2012 Titan SL 4x4. I have a few hundred bucks I can blow on the Titan and can't decide what to get:

1) Set of (4) Bilstein 5100 series struts and shocks. But my question is with only 10k miles, Is it too early to swap the shocks and struts? Would I notice a difference?

2) Airaid MXP Intake - Dry filter version. I already have the K&N drop-in with filter mod.

Thoughts? I can't decide.

Go with the Airaid. Your shocks still good.

Well ask yourself the question, do you dislike how the T rides right now?

If you were to do both eventually, I would go with the MXP first.

Go with the Airaid, you won't need shocks for another 40,000 miles.

Re: Biltein 5100's or Airaid MXP Intake?

It depends what you use your T for. If you off road a lot, get the 5100's. If you highway drive, get the intake. If you tow, I would get the intake first also.

Re: Biltein 5100's or Airaid MXP Intake?

Boy, you guys arent helping at all...LOL

Spoonman...Actually, I dont like the way the T rides, at least over bumpy roads, it just doesnt feel as solid as I feel it should. To be honest, One of the shocks is blown already in the rear. It will be replaced under warranty. Not a good start already.

Shogunles...I tow as much as I go offroad. But then again, the roads in Denver arent the best. I tow a 5500lb travel trailer 8 times a year.

Ahhhhhh....this is impossible...honestly, Im now leaning to the shocks/struts.

Re: Biltein 5100's or Airaid MXP Intake?

Than you have 2 arguements. The need for shocks because of your local roads and to aide in towing weight. And the need for more HP and Torque for towing. Put it to you this way, I have a 7900 lbs TT. And I tow often. I bought the Airaid first because increased gains were more important to me. I plan to do the Billy's. As you can see in my mod list I have air bags. So I can wait for the shocks. However, if I blew a shock with so little mileage on the T, I would change out the shocks first because of the weight you tow and the terrain. Either way you will behappy Brother. By the way, was your shock you blew a Rancho? Just curious.

Re: Biltein 5100's or Airaid MXP Intake?

Nope...it was a non-Rancho shock. I have a set of Airlift airbags sitting in the garage that need I need to install. I was thinking sucking it up and getting the intake and the front Bilstein 5100's. I'll get the rear shock replaced under warranty and use the airbags. When I get a few bucks, Ill get the rear 5100's. It is a bit more than I wanted to spend, but what the heck

You don't need anything else. Just swap out stock struts/shocks for the Bilstein.
