I don't enjoy hearing Nissan having to extend the warranty because of unreliability problems.

The most recent recall, of 27,700 units, was prompted by a power sliding door on the SL and SE models that opened when the driver accelerated rapidly.

Good thing nothing came up about a child falling out while driving too rapidly or else Nissan would have to lose its left leg.
I think it would also be better for us to have the extended warranty on the Titan, but I doubt nissan would do such a thing for the sake of cost and benefits.
I think nissan would do its marginal cost and benefits scheme for extending the warranty on its vehicles...
Cost: 2 years 24,000 mile warranty for 800,000 Trucks = $$$,000,000
Benefit: More quality in their vehicles, future brand loyalty
OR
Cost: Face a dozen or so million dollar lawsuits based on the quality of their vehicles and the # of people who die driving it.
Benefit: More profit by not having to issue extended warranty
