ATTN: One Piece Upper-Grille Owners!!!

I just received my one-piece upper grille today, with the WRONG instructions and I believe the wrong hardware. What did you have to do to install your grille? Did you have to drill and holes or cut anything? Please let me know, I already sent the company an email, but I am wondering what will be required when I get the right stuff...

This is the grille I am talking about...

Hey, thanks a lot for posting that for me - now all I have to do is get the company to ship me the RIGHT mounting kit!!! Do you have the same grille? Was it hard to get the thing centered and mounted perfectly? Thanks again!

Yeah that is the grill I have... I bought the upper and lower set.... I thought it was a fairly easy install, would have been easier with 2 people to help with the centering but it turned out great.... I need to get some new pics up... you could go to a hardware store the mounting peices are very basic...

Yep, it is fairly simple to install. As SWEED said two people would make it simple but you can do it by yourself to. Did they at least supply you with the L-brackets? If so that is all you really need. I went out and bought some 1"x 1/4 stainless steel hardware anyway (b-cool supplies steel hardware). Also, as my instructions say, you will need some self tapping screws to mount the L-brackets into the radiator support.

Yes I have the same grill, plus the lower piece. The instructions are from my install...Good luck!

Nope, I didn't get any L-brackets or self-tapping screws. Can you guys let me know EXACTLY what hardware you got? I will probably just get stainless as well, but I don't know exactly what to get from the pictures - I don't want my grille looking funny. I am in kind of a situation, because I lost a couple of the fasteners that hold the stick grille shell on - so I don't want to wait for the right mounting kit.

Well your definately going to need the L-brackets. The ones suppled are 2.5" long on on end and about 1" long on the other and .5" wide. I don't know if you can make/find something that is close or not. The hardware is not too big of a deal. you will need 4 - 1/4" X 1" bolts and appropriate nuts & washers (2 to mount the grill to the bumper, and 2 to attach the L-brackets)plus 2 #14 x1" self tapping hex head screws.
