Put the final touches on my negotiation tonight. Car salesmen are amazing. I think I got a fair deal, but I definitely had to work at it. I'm going to pick it up Saturday morning.

Joekrz,
First off, congrats on your new "beast," very nice truck-- I've owned mine for over 3 months and I still get excited when I get to drive it.

I did notice that it appears your V8 Endurance emblem is missing from the drivers side front quarter panel. Maybe I just can't see it in the picture!!??

Your right, it is missing. I covered that topic in a previous thread. I have a new one on the way from the dealer. Some thought that the fender might have been damaged, but that is not the case. I ran a carfax on it and everything is OK. I believe it was forgotten at the assembly line. I have put 1100 miles on it since last week Wednesday and I am loving it!!!

joekrz, congratulations on a fine truck. Good luck with it! Mine is 1 1/2 + months old with almost 3,000 miles and I'm loving it! I tweaked it a little by modifying the muffler system, air filter, & yesterday's alteration inside the airfilter box ( see yesterday's post ), and probably picked up at least 15 more HP or better! Cap being installed finally tomorrow. Enjoy it.

Running a carfax will not reveal a repaint of a fender. I wrecked my Eclipse twice and had major body damage to it, went through insurance and everything, guess what my carfax says it has no accidents on it. They may have repainted the fender if it git dented or they misjudged a corner or something, and that would not show on carfax. Sure fire ways to tell if your fender has been replaced or repainted.

1) Check the VIN sticker (if present on these vehicles), if it is on the fender (usually under the hood) then the fender is OEM, if it is not present then you may have an afermarket fender.

2) Check for overspray, look everywhere on all trim pieces, I know some body ships are great but ALL leave overspray.

3) Go talk to the dealerships bodyshop, and find out what happend, the will know if the truck was there, just say you are looking for information on vehicle VIN # XYZ

The only reason I say this is because when my friend bought his car used, the rear bumper had been repainted, and the dealer said that they did it because it was damaged on the lot. Well its a good thing he got documentation from the dealer saying that their body shop repainted it because if something ever happened with the paint (chipping, flaking) on the rear bumper the car manufacturer will not cover it (they dont cover repaired paint) and he would have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed.

All Im saying is get documentation (if any) saying that is was repainted incase 2 years from now that fender looks like garbage, because they repainted it at the dealer. IF you dont get the docs the dealer will say they didnt do it and Nissan will tell you that it is not OEM paint and will not warranty it.

Good Luck!
Rob

^^ I'm with Polaris, but I sell Yamaha / Suzuki, haha...

Yeah, I know we covered it in the other topic, but I'd still be very leary of this. I still feel it is unlikely they forgot it during assembly...
