Do heated mirrors have a "heat' switch?

Help.I am getting ready to install the power mirrors from an SE into my KC XE(thanks Jamie(parts)and pciley(detailed instructions.) I
just got the harnesses and power switch from Jamie. My question-these mirrors are heated( think),so how do you turn on the "heat".There isn't any manual heat switch,is there??Do they automatically heat up?
Am I correct that the heating is to melt ice-frost off?No big call for that in New Orleans, but we do get frost on vehicles maybe 15 days a year(if you leave before 7 am.Thanks,Charlie

I believe on factory installed versions it's a push-button switch in the center of the interior air-flow control, similar to the AC switch in the center of the fan control.

To activate the heat on the SE power mirrors you press a button on the air flow control dial. It is supposed to shut off automatically after 15 minutes. There is an indicator light on the switch when it is on. I use mine when it gets foggy or wet. No other use for it here in So Cal but I imagine it takes the frost off as well.

Yes there is a switch. It is the center of one of the three knobs that control the AC/heat. I think it is the knob to the far right.

Thanks

Thanks all.On my XE it doesn't seem to push in like the other 2 push switches.Guess I would have to get that switch if I wanted the heat-since I'm in New Orleans I'll see if I can struggle thru our bitter winters without it.
Does anyone else hate those soft push-very low light-switches.It is hard to tell at a glance if they are "on".The light is so dim,and the indexing for off on is so soft.I like the big nobs, but hate that dim push button. Thanks,Charlie

I agree that the lights are hard to tell whether or not they are on during the daytime. No problem at night, of course.
