DVD behavior

actually used the DVD for the first time tonite (what did we all do when WE were kids?)

Here's the problem: when I shut the engine off in the middle of a movie, the player restarted from the beginning of the disc when we got back on the road. The player in my wife's MPV (aftermarket, but similar in concept to the Nissan factory player) remembers the disc location when the van is turned off. When you restart the ignition, it re-starts the disc where it left off.

Is the Nissan DVD behavior normal? If so, that really sucks.

bumping this in hopes of another response. I thought mine might return start remembering it's position when my electrical problem was fixed. Alas, no. It's really annoying when making a series of short trips to have to go thru the whole menu process each time. Especially when I can't see the screen, and my toddler is not yet old enough to do it on her own.

I just want to be SURE it's not acting the way its supposed to before I confront the dealer about it.
