Question How many miles are you getting on a 1/4 tank?

My titan has been showing that I use 1/4 tank in about 40 miles. I think my gas gauge is screwed up. What is everyone else getting? Anyone else seem to be in the same boat?

I usually end up using around 70 miles for each 1/4 tank of gas - there is a thread here that talks about it and most people I have seen talk about it indicate the same. My driving is mainly city driving, so I'm sure with highway it's higher, but if you are getting 40 miles on 1/4 tank, then something is definately wrong

I get between 50 and 75 miles on the first 1/4 tank, depending on the mix of city/hwy driving I do. The one time that I did a long hwy drive, I made it about 90 miles on the first 1/4 tank.

Birdman,
My gauge is consistent and the most linear gas guage I've ever had. Highway mileage on recent trip was slightly over 100 miles at 3/4, again just over 200 at 1/2, and 300+ at 1/4 readings. Fill-up was at 354 miles, 21.5gal. That's right at 16.5mpg, cruising at 70. In commute, gauge is still linear, but mileage drops to mid 14's. That's with the K&N drop-in, custom exhaust, Mobile 1 0W-40, 40psi front, 38psi rear, cheap regular gas, and I drive pretty easily.

See this thread for much more info. 70 miles at the 3/4 full mark? Is that normal?

Like the Titan gas mileage itself, there seems to be wide variation in how the gas gauge behaves.

I get 85 or so when i top off, let it sit for a second and top off again, thats the only way the guage with get to the Full mark on my truck. If i let it automatically stop I only get like 45 -50.

Just put on some mileage yesterday. Highway miles to the fishing spot. 100 miles on 1/4 of a tank a little over 200 miles on 1/2 tank.
