My new Leer 100XQ canopy

Finally got my new Leer 100XQ canopy. Here are some photos, including a way to seal the edge of your tailgate... what's the point of having a canopy if it's gonna get wet in there? I used black ABS sheet plastic cut to fill in the upper gap at the tailgate sides, and then applied Trail Seal tailgate weather stripping. The red border on the plastic piece is to make it show up in the photos - it was removed before installing weather strip.

You'll also see a pic of the clamp Leer uses with the UtiliTrack.

The fit and finish is very good. Paint match is excellent. Overall quality seems very good. I got the option of the fold-down removeable front window (for cleaning). One note about this canopy... while it appears the side windows are large, that's an illusion. They have a 2-3 inch black border around the perimeter, making the view out the side windows somewhat restricted, but to me it's worth the trade off for the outside styling of this canopy.

According to the Leer website, they don't make this canopy for the Titan !! Glad I saw another TitanTalk member with one. I mentioned it to my local dealer today during the install, and he said the factory rep would be in this week and he'd mention it to him.

Enjoy the pics.

I got the sheet of black ABS plastic here in Oregon at Multi-Craft Plastic Supply, and the Trail Seal tailgate weatherstrip at my local canopy dealer. If you need some of the plastic and can't find it locally, PM me.

Tom, You are welcome, but I am not Ken. If you look at the Trail Seal site...you will see that it is used to seal the sides of the tailgate too...

Does this have to have the uni-track system to be used, and price?

rcflier, I imagine that LEER makes a clamping system for Titans that don't have Utilitrack. You can check out how to contact them here: http://www.leer.com/contact.html

Also check out this thread for pricing etc

Tom,
I've only had the canopy for about a month. The back door seal seems fine. It's just a flexible rubber strip that lays on top of the tailgate when the window is closed, but it's keeping the water and dust out.
I tried the Trail Seal along the bottom, but it's too thick, not allowing the tailgate to close, so I used another type of generic automotive weather stripping to seal the bottom.
PM me about the plastic.
Ken
