New Owner here

Hey Guys-

New owner here... Just got a new 2004 King Cab LE 4x4 in Galaxy Black. Im loving it... I picked this truck up as a daily driver.

Anyways- its got leather, navi, rockford system, xm radio, electric tonneau (sp?) cover, 4x4 off road package etc. Xm and Tonneau cover go on this week, dealer is installing them.

My other ride is an 02 civic coupe - show car.

Sounds like you've got yourself a definitely top-of-the-line Titan! Wow!

What kind of tonneau?

What's the Titan manufacture date or month?

"... daily driver." ?

I'm new here too, in JUL.04 Titan right at two weeks - Welcome!

Haha, yeah its pretty nice...

Dunno what tonneau cover, Nissan is installing it, its electric...

Yeah, its a daily driver for my Honda- lowered 3.5" with a body kit and 19" rims doesnt work so well driving it everyday

The manufacture date of this Titan is 12/03, which I found very odd. Finding a 4x4 Titan in GA was just about damn impossible...The only one they had was white...I hate white vehicles...They got this one from like Alabama, told them I wanted everything on the white one on this one...So its got Low-jack and all sorts of ****, haha. Got a great deal so I didnt worry about the date, though I thought it was a little odd.

Interesting reading more of the details - thanks!

In certain ways, I wasn't quite so picky and ended up wanting an XE for 2, 3 reasons.

Wanted XE Crew DeepWater with Graphite/Titanium interior & XE Preferred Package. Closest dealer had one Sand/Steel Jun.04 - test drove and liked - except for interior colors. As a few have said - was hooked on getting a Titan after the test drive!

Closest dealer said could get was one from dealer 265 mi away. Then found had drop-in bedliner, bed extender. Said could take out. I said really didn't want have driven that far if could get closer & also found out Feb.02 made.

Knew one far northside Houston dealer - I'm south of Houston - Hou/Galv. Told salesman would take if Jun.04 or later made and less than 75 mi on odometer.

Problem is many dealers in this area 'don't get along' as far as dealer swaps - why where going all the way to Mesquite for swap!

Held my ground. Got call-back - said would get it from far northside Houston dealer - just would have to go about it a 'different way' - "... nothing illegal!"

When I took delivery Kurt told me how truck got to them - the dealer closest to me.
Westside dealer2 swapped with far northside dealer1.
Near northside dealer3 swapped with westside dealer2.
My local dealer4 swapped with near near northside dealer3.

1 & 2 get along, but not 3 with 1 or 4 with 1 or 2.
2 & 3 get along, but not 3 or 4 with 1.
3 & 4 get along, but not 4 with 1 or 2.

So, guess he had to call a few other salespeople?

Anyway, got truck with 76 miles on it. Made Jul.04 .

Only few hairline scratches. Overhead console cracked around front screw - on this forum vehicle delivery checklist. Console ordered and came in one week - totally suprised. Replaced when took truck back for window tint, alarm install, paint protection application 'package'.

As of now, all is now fine and enjoying very much.

Will be getting Dunder23's grilles Wed.
Got on the locking gas cap, locking wheel lugs, spare tire lock.

Much thanks to couple forum members for Nissan Frontier/Xterra spare tire lock solution for the Titan!

Whats this about needing to lock tires??

Anyways- yeah, sounds like you had a tough time as well.

This one doesnt have anything wrong with it like yours did- had about 200 miles on it after the drive from Alabama.

Me and my mom are sharing this truck actually, its her but I drive it back and forth between college (2 hours away) so my car can stay in the garage and doesnt get torn up. Wasnt planning on getting something this nice but she wanted leather and GPS (cause she got lost once and the navi in her X5 saved her... lol) She is also building a house in Colorado to live in and wanted to have a truck out there and just decided to get the truck she wanted while she was out there, so thus, I ended up having a nice truck to drive...
