Old Glory (for FLA-Titan)

When the flag is displayed in a manner other than by being flown from a staff, it should be displayed flat, whether indoors or out. When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window it should be displayed in the same way, that is with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street. When festoons, rosettes or drapings are desired, bunting of blue, white and red should be used, but never the flag.

please fix your sig FLA-Titan...

Thanks,
Navy Vet..

It’s all in the us codes, it’s good to see some others still use it and know what its all about. Other things are that it can not be printed on anything that would be expected to be thrown away or will be destroyed. Most of them forgot as the time passed.

HERE are some of the rules for the Flag. I bet you'll see things you didn't know. Check it out.

I'm not trying to war here, but to educate.
It just irritates me when I see the Flag displayed improperly, and I'm compulsed to remedy the situation.

(yes, I do stop at total strangers house's and educate them as well)

that is the least one American can do for another.

understood by me, It's how I was brought up. I'm just happy that someone else is out there that still feels that way about our Flag.

What bothers me is when I see underware and other clothing using the flag for decoration.

My wife and I always make sure that the outside floodlight directed at our flag is turned on as soon as the sun goes down. I am constantly telling my neighbors that it is not enough just to fly it, you have to respect it as well.

here's one for ya:

i went by a house the other that had an American flag flying underneath the Christian flag (white flag, blue field with a red cross in it) on the same flagpole. This really made me think, because I was offended at the American flag being flown below ANYTHING. But I wasn't going to tell the person that God is less important than the USA and he should fly the flags accordingly. i mean, what is the answer here? what is the opinion of the vets on here about this? the only thing i could come up with was to fly them on two seperate poles. this one really bothers me. seeing our flag flown below something else gave me a nasty feeling.

I was curious about leaving the flag out at night, and they informed
me at our gun club that it was OK, as long as it was illuminated.

Is it OK to display an image of the flag in the normal manner on a
virtual flag pole? Or is that also disrespectful?

As far as I know, the same rules that govern how the flag is to be flown, govern that it is also never to be flown below any other flag. I would tell them to reverse them.

It really ticks me off seeing someone that has a flag in their yard that is faded, tattered, and looks like it is about to fall apart. It's like, duh , if you want to fly a flag get one that is respectable looking.

if i had the money, i'd go with two separate flag poles, same reason i'd go with separate poles for the Texas and US flags.

if i only could afford one pole, though, i'd put the christian flag on top.

"One Nation, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

The Christian flag is aloud to be flown over the American flag, ONLY when there is a Christian service in progress and your AT sea. It's listed in the codes that I posted a link to. It's long reading but good information. If they knew that it was aloud then they sure should know that it wasn't right to have it above it.
