I have the console myself. The seats are very comfortable and the console is huge. It has tons of storage and cup holders for real size cups.
What's with the name, are you a duner?

I have the bench seat and the middle seat is stationary while the passanger and drivers seat move back and forth. I like the bench because you can have another passanger if you wanted and the arm rest/storage is huge I dont know what I would do with out it. Oyeah I have 6 cup holders up front.

I got the console and captain chairs...it makes the interior look more impressive...it helps the dash blend in better...storage is great and keeps things uncluttered.

How often would you really need to put a 3rd person up front? Even my KC will fit 3 in the back row comfortably...the CC has a ton of room in the back.

I have the bench in my CC XE and my dad has the Popular Pkg Captains in his CC SE. I personally like the bench just a little more, but the console does raise the level of the interior a notch. To me the bench gives you a feeling of more room, especially with the center arm rest up. But the column mounted gear selector sometimes is a pain being right behind the windshield wiper stalk. I bump the washers on all the time.

If you are tall, people will not have much legroom in the back of the KC because you will have the seat positioned to the back. CC is a different matter...it is very roomy.
As for the seats, I have the KC with Captains chairs. While most people here are finding the center console to be "huge", I guess that it is all in your perspective. My 92 Chev had twice the storage in the center console, and if you lifted out the cupholders, you could stuff even more in that space. I kept my binoculars in there, and they were out of sight.

I seldom have more than two other people in my truck, and never for long trips, so sitting in the back for one of them is not an issue. I wouldn't want to ride in the back for long in a KC, so that might help you decide whether you want a bench seat. Also, the cab isn't exceptionally wide, so the third passenger might make it crowded if you are all above average size. Take a couple of friends to the dealership, and sit in one.

I think most folks describe the center console storage as "huge" because we're so used to the small storage areas on past Nissan trucks... especially a glove box which is too small to hold the owners manual (2000 CC Frontiers). I've got an '04 Titan CC with captains chairs and really like it. I also like how the passenger side chair folds flat to form a hard top work surface... great for using a laptop in the field!

Question to the tall people:
I have a problem with most cars with a center shifter/console that runs over the transmission hump where the side of my knee sits right up against the down curve of the climate control/stereo portion of the dash digging into my tendons and causing major discomfort. With the Captain's chairs, does anyone have that problem? I initially thought about going with the bench for that problem alone (if you haven't experienced it, the pain becomes unbearable in about 15 minutes) but they seem few and far between (although it is a cheaper option) here at the dealerships I have looked at in the mid-Atlantic area.

I currently drive an Accord Coupe with the console shifter and the only way to alleviate the problem is to raise the front of the seat to position my knee off the dash area.
Thanks in advance for your help!!

I Got The Console Because I Really Dont Like The Cheesy Feeling Column Shifter And Thumbwheel. The Gated Shifter In The Console Is Awesome.

I have the Captains and Center Console.
I am 6'3" and I haven't experienced anything like that in the Titan. The only issue that I have by being tall, is that the inside rear view mirror blocks some of the forward view, as do the "A" pillars where they slope back. I have to be more cautious when going around corners.
The seats are fairly tall, and I wish that they would go lower. Otherwise, they seem to be quite comfortable. I am going on a long trip soon, so we will see how they seem after 12 hours..
Go take a test drive

I have the bench and prefer it to the captains chairs. I'm not exactly a small guy, so bucket style seats tend to be uncomfortable.

The fold up console on the bench seat has tons of storage room. You could probably fit a laptop in there. And it has its own internal 12v power supply.

I hear you my King Sized brothers. Buckets aren't too bad but seeing that bench reminds me of my old Chevelle Malibu. The underside of the seat made for a good hang on point when taking a sharp right...

As far as i can tell the only differnce between the bench seats and the capt chairs are the armrests. The center of the seat on a bench will come out if a person wanted to. Mine has a a couple of cupholders mounted under it. ( Probobly a nissan mistake).
