Question Put down Power Windows using the Keyless Entry

Ok on my Titan I have the Keyless Entry system and the other day I held down the unlock button too long, and my power windows started to roll down. After doing some testing of my own, I noticed if you hold down the unlock button for about 3 seconds, it will roll down the power windows on my SE 4x4. Has anyone else noticed this??? Also I cant find any mention of it in my manual, plus when I showed it too the dealer he looked confused. So any input would be great appreciated. Thanks

Also now if I could only figure out how to use the keyless entry to roll up the windows...

That is a feature. My dealer showed it to me when he delivered my LE 4x4. It only works to put the windows down though. I don't have my manual handy to see if it is referenced anywhere.

Pretty sad the dealer was bewildered about this. This has been a fairly standard feature on most Nissans for quite some time (my 95 maxima had it, for example).

wouldnt it make more sense to have a remote control to put them up? ill admit its easy to do the door lock trick to put them up, but i mean come on. makes no sense to me. (puhaps living in arizona's heat has made me want my windows up always?)

It is an 'easter egg' that all nissans with remote entry have. My mom's 2002 Altima has it and she actually turned me on to it LOL It's pretty cool but I don't really utilize it all that often

I was camping a couple of weeks ago and unlocked the truck to get something. I got distracted for a few minutes and went to open the door and it was locked. Found out the truck will automatically lock itself after aw hile. COOOL. Not only that, but I found that if you leave the keys in the ignition and try to lock the doors, you cann't.

I found this feature very usefull this past summer. Living in Louisiana your truck can heat up to the point of almost taking your breath away when you first get in, especially after sitting at the boat landing all day.
It was nice to pull up to the dock and lower the truck windows from my boat. By the time I got into the truck, the "built up" heat was gone.

Amazing what owner's "find out" by accident and are amazed ... it's all in the owner's manual. But yes, the Titan is an amazing vehicle.

When my wife and I purchased our Armada, I asked the saleman if the keyless entry would roll the front windows down, he told me no, not on the SE. I tried it when I got home and showed my wife because I knew it would, and I had not even read the manual yet. Those guys need to be better inform if they are going to be selling such expensive cars.

I think it's just to let trapped heat from the vehicle out before entering. I also think an auto up keyfob feature would be GREAT but not likely because of the possibility of injury if someone or a child in the vehicle stuck their head out the window at the time of closing. I've never seen a vehicle that can close its' windows wit hthe keyfob....only open them.

only down, never up. For safety of the passenger

You should never let kids stay in the car while you leave. no no no!

I found the same thing by accident. However, i didnt find it all so cool. I was saying goodbye to my girlfriend and after making myself seem like a stud, i get 0wned by the door cuz it locked itself. then it was just one of those akward moments where you have to smile and pretend you did it on purpose for the sake of comedy.... didnt work.
