JUST INSTALLED NEW ROLL TOP RETRAX COVER ( LOOKS GREAT ).
HAVING A PROBLEM GETTING A TIE DOWN CLEAT IN SIDERAIL , ANYBOBY ELSE HAVE THIS COVER AND PROBLEM ?
Mine is in garage awaiting installation. Which UT accessories do you have?Accroding to retrax, the divider and extender will work with their cover. I didnt ask about tie down cleats, are they hitting the retrax rail?
Yea Its Hitting The Rail . Just Have Bed Extender , It Still Works With Cover . Mike Z , You Have To Change The Bolt On The Plastic Stop On Drivers Side Rail , Do This Before You Install Rail , (directions Don't Tell You ).it Shortens The Stop So The Bed Extender Could Still Fold Out.

YOu used a total of 4 bolts, 2 up front and 2 in rear right? The Two up front, did you use the rubber grommet nuts?
20titan,
I just talked to them and they said the tie downs do work with the cover. You cant leave them on and close cover but with cover open they should work, at least that is what they are saying. I talked to John who did a titan UT install a few weeks ago.
no rubber , i used the regular nuts and lock washers all around . after i finished install i tried a cleat real quick , it wasn't going in , i didn't have time to mess with it . looks like were the only ones with this cover .

Yep. but so far they seem to be only company making an attempt at a rolltop that works with UT.
I Went out and played with cleat. If you back the knob out all the way you can put cleat on from a strong downward angle. Otherwise when you twist cleat to install it on rail, you can do this from an angle that I think will miss rail, then once it is horizontal it is flush with top of ut rail which should be out of way of retrax rail.
Did that make sense?
Yea , makes sense . When i quickly tried it , you could angle the bottom half in easily , but its getting the top half in thats the problem . In order to turn cleat horizontally it must be against ut rail (almost vertically) , when you angle the bottom half in, the cleat is on an angle not hitting bed cover rail , but when you bring the top half of cleat up to get the other half of the cleat in the ut rail , it is hitting the bed cover rail before it makes it in the ut rail .
Did that make sense?
My retrax is framed up just waiting to be dropped in the bed. Hopefully I will get to that this afternoon and will try it. Will let you know what happens.
Did you finish the install on the Retrax? Review? Pictures? This is the most promising top to me but still concerned about the UT. Thanks for the info.

Cool......Just found the Retrax thread.......just installed mine and it works great.....ran it through the car wash and found few water spray marks even at the tail gate. I did however drill the needed holes in my bed for the canister drain.....dang I hated drilling the bed! Pix will come soon!
It looks like I wont be drilling. I have checked mine several times after some hard rains and one washing, and the most I saw was a drop here and a drop there, not enough for me to worry about. Heck I owned cars before that the trunk leaked more then this
Plus 20titan04 sent me a pic of his setup. He put the drain tube between front of UT rail on floor of bed and the front bed wall. There is a seam there that water will run out.
If it did leak bad, I wouldnt have a problem drilling, most beds have drain holes anyway and any hardware store sells OEM looking black caps in all sizes.
I am absolutley satisfied with this cover.
