I have had my truck now for about two months it is a CC LE with 4x4 off-road package and Big tow package. On my windows sticker I see that is shows under EXTERIOR 18"x8.0" Wheels with full size spare. I have 17 inch rims on it now. Do I need to go to the dealership and swap them for 18's which I would rather have of course?

the 17" inch tires are actually taller and litter beefier than the 18" inch tires. i would keep the 17" tires myself. make sure your spare is also 17" inch as well!
You have the offroad package which comes with the 17" wheel, the 18" comes with the SE and LE without the OR package. Your tire options are greater with a 17" wheel, as well as cheaper.
By having the Offroad package, they provide larger tires which means smaller wheels. If you notice the options section of your sticker, it does say 17" wheels. I also thought the same but I like having the bigger tires.

I have been waiting on rims because I cant decide on 18's or 20's @ 33(prerunner leveling kit).
I have compiled a list of + & - and would like to see if you guys agree.
18’s
Less Expensive Rims
Less Expensive Tires
Able to off-road
Tires Last Longer
Unable to Curb Rims
Not prone to Theft
Less Chips and Wear
Good looking Appeal
VS.
20's
More Expensive Rims
More Expensive Tires
Not capable off-road
Shorter tire Life
Easy to Curb Rims
Prone to Theft
A lot of Wear, (winter)
Great Looking Appeal
Saying you have dubs

17 inch rims with the Off-road package provide more rubber with the 33 inch tires. More rubber when off-roading is always a good thing. That's one more inch you get before you ram that rock into the rim. Why would you want low profile tires on a truck with an off-road package? That doesn't make much sense...to each his own I guess.
If you don't plan on going off the beaten path, I'd go with the 20's, they look great and you'll probably save some money on the tires with less rubber.
When you sell those tires make sure you look up the price of replacing those OR package 33" tires/rims. The cheapest I've seen to replace all four of those tires without the rim is $670.
OR pkg deletes the mudflaps?...Says who?...I have them on mine.

I like the way the OR rims look MUCH better than my 18"s. I still like the 18"s, just not as much as the 17" Also, as someone said, many more options for tires in 17"...only 2 in the stock 18" size. I didn't get the OR in the hopes of slightly better gas milage and slightly less road noise, not to mention that you can do much better with aftermarket parts than the cheapo rancho shocks. You can also get wheels and tires of your choice.
