Angry Grille Guard

Did anyone out there get a Dealer installed grille guard? I was suppose to get it at cost and they charged me $720. That seems high to me. I called the South Point Nissan parts department and they will sell me one for $535.48 (was $629.98). Sounds as if South Point owes me $$.

Was the extra $$ from the shipping charge?

I have a grill guard by westin. Much less expensive with the same look. Try bestdarnparts.com cost was around $400 for the one piece.

What dealer charged you $720? I bought my Titan at Maxwell Town North, so just curious if it may have been them. They've treated me real good with the few problems I've had to goto them about. I have yet to think about whether I want a grille guard on my Titan or not (installed one by myself on my Tundra).

Mine came with brush guard, bed rails, trailer hitch and running boards. The dealer gave me the package minus the running boards for free. The sticker claimed the package costed $2000.00

HAHA...I ran into the same thing. I ordered the toolbox for the bed and the salesguy charged me $722 when I bought my Titan. I called the parts department and they told me $499. I looked on the internet as well. I went back to my salesguy and they made good on the difference. The excuse was that "the parts department charges the sales department extra...". I think it is a way to disguise a little extra profit on the sale of a vehicle and hope no one notices. It may also be a practice done at many dealerships. They should make it up to you. It would be a hard battle for them to win.

The dealer showed me the invoice on the grille guard. $150 was to cover the labor to install it. If I had known, I would have been able to save another $150. South Point has grille guards "on sale" for ~$532.
