New guys first post!

I just wanted to say that this is definitely the best Titan forum!! I cannot believe the amount of great information available here. Sometimes it might be to much as I am now already anticipating brake and radio problems on my new 2004 Titan XE built in 01/04 (no problems @ 1200 miles). Anyways great forum that I will be using a lot.

Welcome! Look at it this way... IF you do experience any problems, you'll most likely find the solution here free of charge.

Welcome and do not think that everyone that owns a Titan has radio or brake problems. There are only 3500 members here and over 60,000 TItans have been sold.

It usually happens that those with problems search out forums like this to discuss them so it just seems like everyone has the same issues.

I have just over 15,000 miles (I take it in tomorrow for scheduled maintenance) and have not had either brake or radio problems. I have not had any of the issues that seem to pop up here. I am either lucky or the problems discussed here are not indicitive of everyone else's experiences.

Welcome-No XE brake problems

Quinnman, there aren't any reports of radio problems with the standard XE radio system. It is the Rock-Fos on the upper trim level models that have the radio problems. These problems have apparently been "fixed" by the latest service bulletin.
The brakes seem to be hit or miss. Not exactly common.if you have that problem,Im sure that there is a fix in the works.Welcome,Charlie.

Quinnman I have the XE as well and I have not had a single problem. I have had it for about 5 months now. Just as PHOEBISIS said the XE does not have the same radio as the other models. Its the RF package that has issues. Although if you notice on our radio when you play a CD you get much better sound than you ever do on the radio. Just try it out and you will see what I'm talking about.
Good luck with your new truck.

good to know!

Thanks for the feedback! It is good to hear there are Titan owners out there experiencing no problems! In some ways I have to admit I am glad I have the XE! Along with the XE's radio not having the same problem, I have also noted a lot of problems with the power windows which I do not have. I will just have to wait to see if I experience the brake problem as I tow a bass boat quite a bit, but in the mean time I am not going to worry about it. I have added the following goodies on my truck which I feel has made it pretty sharp

Line X spray in bedliner
Westin Utlimate Bull Bar (black with brushed chrome skid plate)
Nissan Bug Deflector
Westin Tub style steps
15% Johnson tint of front windows
Hide a hitch with Nissan hitch cover
Torza folding Tonneau cover
Wade in channel wind deflectors
interior matching Nissan shoulder pads for seat belts
Husky hard floor mats
And on the way Helo Black Maxx wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler

If you have the 6 CD changer that comes with the preferred package then it will need replaced. Also there is a recall on the back seat belts and if you have a 4X4 then it won't be long before you get a 4lo light which is a switch fix.
6600 miles and no brake problems but both my front and rear diffs were low.
Howdy!

Yea - Lets face it. Most people don't start threads when their truck is working perfectly. Sometimes this can be a forum for venting frustrations about problems. I have had a few problems, but all have been fixed by the dealership for free and I enjoy my Titan every day. Don't get obsessed with looking for these other documented problems to happen. It will ruin your Titan experience. If something comes up, just do a search on the site and I am sure you will find information on what to do. It's also a great site to get accessories and modification ideas. I already installed the "Sammie Sandbag Muffler" and have my eyes on the Retrax Roll Top cover. Good luck and welcome to the site.
