Does anyone know the name of the wax the dealership puts on.....
When I bought my Titan the dealrship put on a pink wax when they detailed it. this wax made the truck look awesome and did not show swirls does anyone know where to buy it. I hate to try and wax my Black titan because I'm afraid it will swirl it up and make it look bad............we all know how black shows everything. And it has been my experience in the past that no matter what over the counter brand wax i bought it swirled up on black
Ask your dealer's prep people what they use. There are many superior products available - Zaino being one. Check out DetailCity.com. This is a great forum with members who'll help you out, even with the most basic questions. I'm speaking from my own experience.
We've done our Titans (see below, the KC SE is black) with Klasse All-in-One and Super Glaze. I applied the AIO with a Porter Cable 7424 random orbit polisher. Extraordinary results! You won't find this product or most of the others like it "over the counter". Detail city has several links to vendors. Check it out.

almost everyone on here uses Zaino, so i tried it. took me 2 days to do all the steps, and i got the same results with Klasse.
Zaino does not impress me. i really tried to tell myself it was better than other products because i worked 2 days on it but in the end i just fessed up and said i waisted alot of time.

I did an intial polish with porter cable Poorboys SSR1, Klasse AIO, then Ultimate Paint Protection (UPP) x3, then over the past 3 weeks, wax with P21S x3, and one coat of Victoria Red Wax; whoa! after reading what I just wrote, I now get it when my 3 year old exclaims..... " daddy is waxing truck...again!" to his mother.
Anyway, I like this 'finish', ....for now. I think swirls occur over time, from varied factors, and obviously black shows them, but the Poorboy SSR line should keep them in check.
WAX:
I used McGuire’s 100% carnauba and it worked fine for me. To avoid swirl marks you must clean you truck very very very well. Trapping dirt or other particles on your buffers surface/towel is what causes swirl marks. Clean your buffer/towel regularly. I usually clean it after each panel.
WASH:
They say to use a plush 100% cotton towel...the reason behind this is to trap dirt inside the towel. To reduce swirl marks when washing I use the auto dry system.
RESULTS:
Not a single swirl mark....I would not even let the dealer wash it before delivery (key).
If you already have swirl marks...only an experienced polisher will be able to reduce or remove the swirls.....polishing takes off a little clear coat.

You can buy it at most auto stores and it is easy to use. I have 4 coats on in about 45 days and I will compare my shine to anything out there. It is some good stuff, easy to use and not one swirl mark on the truck.
Dealerships use the cheapest SH@$^T they can buy. Remember that a new vehicle shouldn't have swirl marks. I use the Mcguires line of products (literally dozens of different applications) such as cleaners, blemish removers, polishes, waxes etc... I find them really easy to use and very forgiving (YOU CAN'T SCREW UP). Check around for all sorts of brands, but remember, dealerships aren't going to buy the good stuff for a vehicle which has new paint and a mirror like finish already from factory. They just care to move it off their lot and into your driveway. And don't use power equipment to wax it unless you are absolutely sure how to use it. Wax it by hand, you'll never mess up as long as you follow the instructions.
