Very tight garage fit!!!

Just dug out my digi cam from a moving box and thought i could show how perfect my Titan fits in my garage. When looking for a truck, this was priority #1. The Titan was the only full size that offered an extended cab that would fit. As you can see i have a block of wood to let me know when to stop. (no tennis ball for me) :P and it can only fit backwards. This atleast prepares me well for tough real world situations when i have to precisely back up. Also note i have to hug my wall to not block my door to the house.

Anyone else have similar tight fits with their titan?

At least yours fits, mine sticks out about 2 feet, so I obviously can't get the door down. The hot water heater is in a piss-poor location in the center of the wall oposite the garage door, otherwise I could get it in.

funny you should mention the water heater because on the wider side of the garage (in respect to the door) is the water heater taking up a good 2 feet of space that would be where the truck would fit. Oh well.

I have about the same amount of space in my garage - I attached a piece of foam to the front wall of the garage to tell me when to stop. My bumper usually ends up resting against it. I just hope the thing fits after I lift it...

Unhappy

I just spent the entire day today moving stuff around the garage (workbench, shelves, ...) to try to get the Titan in...it kinda fits but it's also really tight, so tight that I was afraid to scratch it. I finally gave up. It'll have to stay on the driveway.

That's why I told my hubby that when we build our house and garage it would be a 1500 square ft house and a 3000 square foot garage!!!

Now that's one cool wife! Wow.

I am thankful for my garage. Oversized 2 car with only my Titan inside. I have about 4 feet clear from the front to my A/C, water heater, slop sink and washer/dryer. 3 feet clear on the left to my workbench, and 3 feet clear on the right to the big pile of crap that accumulates in a garage.

Another tight garage for ya. The space is 4.5 inches larger than the truck, and the center garage post has to be threaded with the mirrors on the way in and out. Backing in sounds rough, no doubt!

I wrapped the pole with carpet for my mirror and the wifes door, and put in a 4x8 curb to keep from smashing the water heater. Dang little garages!

I measured but...

Hi Guys,
Registered today. Bought a silver XE 4x4 Thursday night and will be picking it up Monday after work. My problem is the height - garage is 26' deep. Door height is 76 1/4" at the lowest point and the advertised height is 76.6". However, I measured the truck at the dealer and it looked to be just over 75" which should just fit with a little to spare. Someone in this forum said "If you drive it - you'll buy it". I did and I did - what a rocket... Almost bought a Silverado - shudder...

It's always nice to see that I have just a little bit of extra room in my garage. During the Hurricanes, I very tightly parked my Titan in the garage, along with the Sebring. My garage door has hurricane bracing on it, so add another 3" of square hollow steel on the inside of the garage door. Fortunately, I still have about 6" total to play with.

I don't normally park my truck in the garage, because (a) It's a side entry garage, and it's not easy to get it in there with my driveway config and (b) too much stuff in the way. But in these past hurricane times, I have been creative with all the "stuff" and fit both cars in there.

Our has about 2 inches on the front and the back side when parking her. We use the ol tennis ball. If momma creeps forward too far, whalla a pole....she better not!

Oh yeah, know exactly what you mean. I have a piece of firewood as a wheel chock to stop me from hitting the wall (I'm about 2" from the wall) and then if I have my drop hitch in it is tight with the garage door closing. By the way, I don't know if I would be brave enough to back into the garage as apparently you have done-- if the garage door hits something, I'd just as soon it hit my rear bumper than front end!!

Thankfully she fits great. It's 26' X 24' and has to be shared with the wifes Quest. I'm having the rear sonar installed this week because backing it into the garage (and any parking space) can be tricky at times.
