Just bought a white, 2004 LE 4X4... Picking it up next Saturday after all of my options/mods arrive. Looking forward to learning more about the truck here on the board.

Thanks, I am looking forward to it. Reading up on the Banks Exhaust threads, thank you all for the info. I bought it blind not knowing much about it, seems like it was an OK decision based on what the board says (so far). I will look for any known problems here soon. Thanks for the welcome.

Thank you guys. I am now looking into the Volant Filter Box. I am reading up on the old threads and it seems there "were" some fitment issues with the SE's and LE's. Has that been taken care of? In addition, is the snorkel worth the extra $90? Thanks in advance.

Welcome. Did you buy it from a dealer or private sale? If from the dealer, go over it with a fine tooth comb before you drive off the lot (both insode and out). See if they will give the coin holder!!

Buying it from a dealer brand new. Waiting for the VIN so I compare it with some of the problems you guys have seen. I am hoping it is a later BOD.

What am I looking for SPECIFICALLY before picking it up. I have been doing a lot of reading here, good info. Cracked plastic, leaking AC water on the passenger floor (won't find that until next summer!!!), rear right window rubber falling out, anything else? Is the paint really that thin, seems folks have had some trouble with paint? I love the truck already and know I am buying late in the year so I am hoping I am getting a later run, but we will see. I have driven MY truck and the rims and exhaust are in, just need to get up North to pick it up.

Look for tires being overinflated. Mine were in the 50 PSI range.
Have them check differentials to make sure they are full.

Tires shouldn't be an issue as I had the dealer install aftermarket rims. BTW, I will have stock Off road 17's for sale if anyone dings/bends/cracks there's.

I will definetly have them check the differentials. In addition, based on the info. I have here, I will also have the diff oil changed early/often the first 5,000 miles.

I think you will certainly enjoy it, but remember it is the first production year for the Titan, and also a brand new assembly plant in Canton, MS so you might have some small problems here and there!

BTW, can I tell the born date from the VIN number?

Thanks Duder! I know, I am excited about the truck and know it will be great. I rarely keep a vehicle past 2-3 years so if it is a real pain, I will just buy a 2007! I do like everything about the truck, I just want to know what to look for. Thanks,
