As many other folks who are considering a Titan have been advised in the past, take what you read here with a grain of salt. This is a forum where people tend to talk about problems with the truck, just like you will see on the Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Toyota sites. For everyone who has had some problems there are many others who have not. Also, the 2005 model will have many of the 2004 problems fixed.

Personally, I've had my truck for 7 months, almost 14,000 miles, have no problems and absolutely love it. It is one bad-a$$ truck and I am constantly looking for reasons to drive it-- how many Ford, Chevy, Dodge or Toyota truck owners do you hear say that.

Anyhow, good luck with your decision, but if you think it's one of the other brands and you have not test driven a Titan, you won't know what you're missing!! Later, Richard

Need Air Intake Advice

I Am Looking For Hard Data Or Personal Accounts For Any Volant, K&n, Or Airaid, Etc. Air Inlet Filter Box Aftermarket Products For The Titan. Too Much Propaganda From Each Party Involved. If I Get 15 Hp And 1-2 Mpg I Would Buy, O.w. I May Be Giving Away $250-300. Looking For Hard Data Or Experiences.

Thanks Guys

I bought my 05 on Feb.1st. The truck is still flawless. If I took everything I read here to heart, I'd be driving a Chevrolet instead. Don't let it scare you away.

Post Alomost Former Chevy Owner

I have my 98 Silverado extra cab Z71 for (bought in 97) for 8 years now, 115K. I had only replaced the gas guage and brakes. The vehicle has been outstanding and I can only hope the Potential Titan LE, Crew, sunroof, offroad, Siruis, bed extender I am about to buy will be as good to me as my Chevy was... The dealers are all impressed at how nicely it shines and how well it runs and looks, esp for a day to day commuter vehicle that loves the snow of Massachusetts, although I am sick of it now(the snow, not my Chevy). I am also hoping performance wise that the Titan excells on the snowy roads of New England as well as my Chevy does.

Does anybody have this type of experience with snow driving in a Titan compared to a Chevy Silverado? Would be nice to hear that all is well with the Titan on snowy roads... Truck, computers, TV's, Refrigerators, anything can be great for one person and a nightmare for the next. Grain of salt is needed with these posts...

I am also hoping my return to Nissan will be as rewarding as my first 1986 1/2SE Extra cab pickup which ran out to 284K before it burst into flames... Anyhow... just my 2 cents worth...

I just got my LE CC 2 weeks ago and can tell you it gets great traction. I have owned a Jeep Wrangler that was lifted with GY MTRs, and I was still impressed. For the first week, I had the truck in 4WD more than I did 2WD with the snow we were getting. I have driven tons of chevy's and there is no comparison to the Titan. It handles, drives, stops, turns, goes better than the chevy. You'll be happy.

Well I bought a new Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71. The wife is driving the Titan now. I got the Z71 on the employee discount plan. Two great 4x4 rigs should be in every driveway!
