Backspacing....again.

Okay guys, I know we have been over this before - but I have a couple specific questions here. I am not too familiar with calculating backspacing/offset measurements, so I need a little help. On top of that, I don't know the offset and backspacing of my stock 18" wheels - so that does not help either Anyway, here is my issue: I am trying to see how much further a wheel that measures 18x9.5 with -24mm offset and a 4.25" backspacing will stick out than my stock wheel. I could probably figure this out for myself, but I need to be SURE what the stock wheels measurements are before I could do that. I know that the lifted Titans, like mine WILL BE, work the best with a 4.5 backspacing - but the wheel I want has the above measurements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

A lot further. The factory is 18x8 w/ 5" backspacing. So tack on 1.5" to the width, plus you are pushing it out another 0.75" going to the 4.25" backspacing from the 5". So it will stick out 2.25" further than the factory 18".

are you saying that you found a 18x9.5 wheel with -24mm offset AND 4.25" of backspacing? this does not jive. backspacing is the distance from the plane of the mounting hub to the plane of the inner lip. a negative offset indicates that the hub is positioned in the inner half of the rim so this tells you BS is gonna be less than half of the rim width (4.75"). 24mm means it's gonna be 1" farther in from the wheel's centerline.

backspacing would be 4.75 - 1, so it's 3.75". correct?
