Any Police Issues with your Titan?

I got pulled over once in a park with friends and they thought we were doing something illegal and we had 5 police cars and a helicoptor on us. The crime? Park closes at 10:00pm and we were there at 10:30ish.

Well after we explained our mistake, the 6 or so police officers that stayed checked out the Titan and gave a hard long inspection with reviews and comments on the truck.

Kinda got spooked at first when being slammed with 5 police cars with lights on. Next time i'll pay close attention to the park rules.

I'm sure they were working something else (like a drug deal). You just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Unfortunately, they probably blew their sting.

Most cops take being in park after curfew pretty seriously - there is one park here locally that the cops show up at 9:45 or so and with a bull horn to tell everyone they need to leave the park. Doubt the cops were working something else, but rather just regular patrol. I'm sure they've had problems in the past at the park with drug dealers, etc, and it is better for a cop to be prepared, thus the 6 or so officers and helicopter, than to be unprepared and someone get the best of them.

they loved the truck of course. They even sat in it and everything.

The park in my area is very nice, no crime whatsoever... It was just bad timing

Actually I got pulled over last sunday, October 17th on my way to watch the football game. I was driving with my girlfriend in a little bit of traffic down a main road and cop behind me pulled me over. I wasn't doing anything wrong.
So the cop as does his usual thing and when I asked what was wrong he said i had "tampered with my temporary tags" He thought I had extended the date(from expiring on 10-10-04(he thought) to 10-18-04(actually expire). So I showed him the reciept from when I purchased the truck on August 16th and that the temp. tags are good for 60 days which would mean they expire on October 18th and would still be valid.
He thought I was getting smart and then had me get out of my truck and search me for weapons and called other officers for backup. So I end up sitting there for an hour while the 4 cops inspect my temp. tags.
I know the cops have dangerous jobs and have to protect their safety, but I was just a young 19 year old kid in a $30,000 truck. Oh well what can you do. And after they agreed that everything was as it should be, they all wanted to know how I liked the truck, and how much I paid for it, and where I bought it, etc.

thats crazy man---they searched you for tags?? wow they were just trying to scare you more than anything. there was no logical reason to remove you from your vehicle expecially once they saw your tags were clean. oh well get used to it, as young dude with a nice car. when I was your age I only had a sentra but man I got pulled over and out of the car at least five times from age 18 to 21

I was in the parking lot of a local indoor flea market hoping to stop by a tool shop but the whole place was closed that day. While sitting in the lot setting my GPS for a trip north, a township car patroling the lot saw me and made a beeline right for me. Ready for the usual "they're closed get out" or "what are you doing here?", I got "How do you like that truck?".

Seems he was shopping for a truck and heard about the Titan, after giving my glowing review (I should just write something and keep a stack in the truck ), I left him with one piece of advice, "Don't test drive it until you're ready to buy, once you drive one it's hard to stop."
