VDC on 05 Titans....

I can't be 100% sure but....it looks like Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) can be had along WITH the E-lock now. VDC is now part of the AIRBAG pkg. It also looks like the powered rear window adds just the ability to open it with a switch. The window hasn't changed otherwise...meaning..it's the same size window.

Not the same size window, and no, you cannot get VDC with the E-locker. Also, nissans web page still shows 265 with R18 with the off-road package, can this be right?

How do you know this? The Nissan site shows that you CAN have the AIRBAG pkg w/ VDC and the E-lock on the OR pkg. The picture of the window I can understand still being the 04 model but....the pkg info is all new for 05.

You can now only get the VDC on a two wheel drive truck with air bags.
If you go to the site and try to build a truck you will find out this is true.
They have the option for Air bags with the 4x4 but it is With out the VDC.

Side Air Bags Package (all models)

*Air bags are only a supplemental restraint system; always wear your seat belt. Do not use rear-facing child restraints in the front-passenger's seat. Also, all children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Air bags will only inflate in certain accidents. See your owner's manual for more details.




Been there a few times. You may very well be right but....tell me how you know this. It's not on the site that I can see. These options came up after building an SE 4X4 CC. Nowhere does it state 4X2 only, in fact some show 4X4 only! I was able to build that 4X4 CC SE with both packages. I cannot find anything saying the 2 features cannot be had together...let alone one saying VDC can't be had on 4X4 models.

but if you look closely, there is an option for side air bags at $1200. right below that is an option called side air bags without vdc for $850. This is the one you will get if you get 4X4 on a 2005. it doesn't specifically say that, but that's the way it is. it's the nature of the nissan website. they expect you to anticipate them.

i just built my current truck to see what the price difference would be, and when i got to the option page, there was a ! on the side airbag pkg that includes VDC, so it is not an option.

the price difference was about $400 more for the 05.

I just built the LE CC 4X4 w/o Big Tow and w/o Off-Road and it allows the Side Air Bag w/VDC.
With BT & OR you would get ELOCK® instead, and order the Side Air w/o VDC.

Also notice the final gear ratio is the same as w/BT & OR.

I miss spoke, you are right. I did not try and build a base model LE, I like the options on my trucks. .
I just tried this and you are right. But the Air bags is the only option you can have if you build this way. Thats on a base model LE with the air bag option only. I could not build one in the SE model, just a base model LE.
I do recall that there has been wrong or out dated info on how you can build a truck on the site before.
