Should I wait

I want to put on exhaust and a intake is there a certain amount of mileage that the truck should reach before I do this or does it not really matter

I drove mine less than a quarter of a mile before I put my intake and exhaust on.

Why wait???? My only question is why change it at all? These 2 mods seem to be the first two things that people do!! I really do understand the need that some members have, which is to change SOMETHING, I use to be that way!!!!!! (God only knows I have spent MEGA-BUCKS on Mods) Changing the exhaust I guess I Understand,But the air intake system (IMHO) is the SINGLE BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY OUT THERE!!!!!! Yeh, I know some will not agree with me, but I have ALWAYS been a SHOW ME KIND OF GUY. ANd so far, all the testing I have seen ,is AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE, So, if you drive around at WOT all day, then sure go ahead and change it!!! it will work GREAT!!!! If you DON'T drive around at WOT all day save your money and have a MUCH NICER RUNNING TRUCK!!!!! You see AFTER YOU SPEND ALL THAT MONEY FOR THAT INTAKE SYSTEM, and all you get is a LOT of NOISE,You also, will be so ashamed that you threw away that much money, YOU WONT ADMIT HOW CRAPPY OF AN INVESTMENT YOU HAVE MADE!!!!!! Sorry for the long post, and the attitude, I just HATE to see someone not get what is strongly suggested in all the ads, you know , UP TO 15H.P. its the ,UP TO that one should question!!!!!! any way have a good time with it!!!!!

If you want to mod, there is no need to wait. I think the intake/exhaust have been dynoed to give around 15-20 rwhp throughout the entire rpm band.

Do a search, you will find both. Jettech is one and there a few others. They posted their dyno graphs and timeslips. That is why these are the two most done mods to date.

Also, "thehead" (crewcab model) ran high 14s with a catback and K&N drop in.

Werd, even magazines will tell you those are the most popular but biggest waste of mone for performance mods. But hey if someone feels that it's worth it,that's the decision they'll make. Good luck.

Well, as far as performance mods go, those are the only mods available for the Titan right now until someone crack the PCM coding. Then forced induction will be a possibility.

How exactly are they a waste of money (I do agree with the intake though)?
