What the heck!

I did a search on Nissan's webpage for 05' Titans. I see dealers in Texas, California, Florida, Tennessee and so on all have a few 05' on their lots. I can't find a single 05' Titan in the Northwestern states. What gives?

The train gets to PNW last and train travel is slow up here because of a shortage of
train engineers for Union Pacific and BNSF is pretty busy as well. Its a big problem
up here especially for the timber companies. I did see a new pathfinder at the local
dealer. It looks really nice.

Darn trains! Everytime I am in downtown Seattle I have to wait for at least 5-10 minutes for a SLOW passing train! Yes, I have seen the new pathfinder too, really nice.

don't they use semi tractor trailers to deliver autos? they're all over the place here in the midwest. maybe they are just for short travels?

Most of the cars/trucks made back east or in the midwest come by train
to the west. Much cheaper than trucks.

There were probably some on the train I saw last week - long SOB with nothing BUT car carriers on it. Probably coming from Houston though with Toyota's but who knows.

I'd like to blame the trains too, but the reality is the NW region is not a 05 Titan priority region for Nissan. Nissan preferences the deliveries according to the various regional needs and sales. The NW is actually the red-headed step child of Nissan, no offence intended to red-heads.

You have to consider something else....the southern part of the country is going to obviously get it up front and first just based on the locale of the the plant in Canton. I'm sure it was the same way when the Titan first came out last year.

Face it, the South rules....

Anyway.... the military is still using a lot of rail lines as they rotate equipment out for the Iraqi theatre.

I'm all for blaming the trains since I work for the UPRR. The average train speed is only 15.7 mph factoring in the time spent in classification yards (where I work). Major railroads recently decided to get rid of the yard engineer and have us poor dumb switchmen run the locomotive by remote control. Major slowdowns, pissed off customers but hey, UP CEO was paid a 22 Million dollar bonus last year!
