To start off with, my truck only has about 900 miles on it at this point. But while I was home from work, I noticed that if I got down on the pedal and went wide open with it, it seemed to lag a bit seeming not to have the power it should. I started "investigating" and found that if I only gave it about 3/4 to 7/8 of the pedal, the monster would growl, come alive, and swallow up anything in its way. This seemed strange to me but then I remembered about the throttle by wire on the Titan. Does anyone else notice this on there truck? Could it be that the computer is still "learning"? I mean it's not a big deal, but I'd like to now that when I get in a jam, need the power, and flatten the pedal, the response will be there. Anyones suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have had my Titan for 5 months have 4500 miles and it does the same thing. I don't think it will be changing. If I romp it it jumps then kinda fizzles a second then jumps into it again.
To me it almost always feels like its just giving it too much fuel or something. I'm no gear head though so I don't have a clue why.

You will notice this on any car that is throttle-by-wire.
Basically, a computer is accelerating for you. If you ever want to test what kind of system is in a car you are in...stick it in cruise control....if the pedal moves with changes in incline, it is standard, if the pedal is all the way up all the time you have drive by wire.

This is not a good indication, on my old (80s) bimmers, the throttle stayed at the top even though they are definitely NOT throttle by wire. Basically, the gas pedal spring was independent of the cruise control spring, so if one was engaged the other one goes to a throttle closed position.

I was just riding with my buddy this weekend in his 2003 ford explorer and it did the same thing. My 2001 Isuzu Rodeo does the same. It is common in cars these days.
Hey Guys What I have noticed is that when I trmp it it will also do this but my "SLIP CONTROLL" light will breifly flash. Is it maybe the computer is anticipating wheel spin? Because if i just give it a quick blast and dont hold it down this baby will break um loose no problem till the traction controll puts a hault to my fun.
